1.0 INTRODUCTION

The plow consists of a regular central server, a Dics beam assembly, a lockshaft
assembly, and a heavy spring-loaded foldable wheel. On certain models, DiskPlow is
designed to act as two, three, or four decks by adding or removing lower beam
assemblies as needed. The disc angle provides an ideal cutting width in the range of 40 °
to 45 °, and the tilt angle penetrates in the range of 15 ° to 25 °. The plow disc is made of
high carbon steel or alloy steel and the edges are hardened and polished. The disc is
mounted on a tightened roller bearing. The scraper put a prophylactic bottom on the disc
in sticky soil. The cut groove moves along the arc and is struck a little before being
thrown. The disc plow has 2-4 open grooves and the disc size is about 600mm-800mm.
Next, the disc plows are 1180mm to 2362mm in length and 889mm to 1194mm in height.
In addition, it includes a cutting width of 200 mm to 300 mm per disc and an adjustable
working width of 600 mm to 1200 mm. In addition, the disc plow weighs up to 3000 kg and
has an output of 0.25 to 0.37. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of India (2020), the
required power is 35hp to 50hp or 26.25kW to 37.5kW.

2.0 MATERIALS

Tractor, implement, 3-pins.

3.0 METHODS

Implement hitching
1. Move the tractor forward.
2. Back slowly to the implement to be attached with the help of the instruction given.
3. Place the tractor in such a way that the draught arms' pin holes line up with the
implement hitch points.
4. Turn off the engine, park the tractor safely, and apply the brakes.
5. Connect the 3 -point barrier using an approved tool. steps to align obstacles and
place the tractor safely. It begins by securing the left draft arm to the point of
execution obstacle. The right arm is the next to be tied and lastly the top link.
6. Remount the tractor and start it so that the hydraulic system can elevate the lift
arms if necessary.
7. If want to open it, start opening it from the top link then below.

5.0 DISCUSSION

Differentiate between three- and two-point connections.

Three-Point Linkage - A three-point linkage is what it is called. The three-point hitch, also known as
three-point linkage, is the most commonly used method of attaching ploughs and other agricultural
implements to an agricultural tractor. Any implement can be attached to the tractor via a three-point
connection.

2-Point Linkage - The bottom lift pins are 7/8" in diameter, while the top link pin is 3/4" in diameter.
The cat 1 hitch is designed for tractors with engines ranging from 20 to 45 horsepower. 32 inches
wide is a cat 2 hitch. Between the two lower lift pins, the top link is 24 inches long "above the central
axis. The bottom lift pins are 1-1/8 in in diameter "1"
6.0 CONCLUSSION

To conclude, during lab 4, students were instructed to simply observe and learn
from the staff because the disc harrow that was connected to the tractor was a large piece
of equipment that could cause serious injury if not conducted correctly. As a result,
students were instructed to simply observe and learn from the staff. To understand how
the farm staff members work together to open and fix the implement, we would need to
see them in action. Consequently, we have gained an understanding of the abilities
displayed by the farm employees in terms of how to change the implement on the tractor
and how to work together as a team from the observations we have made.
