Writing Task: You are helping to organize a visit to a college in an English-

speaking country for a group of students. You have received a letter from Michael
Slater, the College Director. Read the letter and the notes you have made. Then
write a letter to Mr. Slater using all your notes (about 120-190 words).

Dear Mr. Slater,
I am Tranny, who helps organize your college visit for our students’ group. I have received
your letter and feel so happy now. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make this visit.
Our visit to your college is really important for students like us. The special thing is that your
college is in a place where everyone speaks English. This visit will help us to improve our
English skills, have more learning experiences and opportunities to explore. In addition, we
will be able to communicate a lot more confidently.
Regarding accommodation, I think our group will choose to stay together in a youth hostel.
Because when we are there, we can experience the activities of socializing and conversing with
other people of the same age. Besides, we can also share our learning. That makes us feel very
happy and comfortable.
Our group is mostly young students so they are very active and confident. They like new
things, like to explore, socialize and get to know different people. Therefore, I think camping
together, holding small parties or sporting activities would be suitable for our group.
Finally, I would like to ask you about the weather there. We want to know about the weather so
we can prepare what we need. And about the clothes, how should we wear to match?
