Human population in the world ± 7.7 billion of which 25% are Muslims ± 1.9 billion (World Population Review, 2020)

The market demand for global halal products is very large and tends to increase USD 1644.9 Mil by 2025 (Market Study Report, 2020)

The halal industry has expanded further into lifestyle offerings including halal travel and hospitality services

There is also an increase in non-Muslim consumers, noting 'health', 'food safety', and 'great taste' as reasons to seek halal food

Indonesian GDP in 2019 is 1.12 Trillions USD & 4.135 USD for GDP Per Capita (Worldbank, 2021)

The food and beverage industry is the largest contributor to the non-oil and gas processing industry sector in the second quarter of

Challenge & Opportunity
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim-majority country, as just over 87.2 % of Indonesians declared Muslim
(Pew Research Center. The Global Religious Landscape, 2021)

Indonesia consumers are increasingly concerned and sensitive about food safety, healthy and Halal

The development of food science and technology (raw materials, additives, new processes, analytical methods, GMO
technology, etc.) is a challenge for scientists and Muslim leaders in the world to assess the halal status of the product

Indonesian Law No. 33 of 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal (HALAL is MANDATORY)

The state is present through BPJPH, providing certainty in Halal certification that could be which can be an advantage or a
barrier to global trade

Sistem Jaminan Halal (SJH)

Sistem terintegrasi yang disusun, diterapkan dan dipelihara untuk mengatur bahan, proses produksi, SDM
dan prosedur dalam rangka menjaga kesinambungan proses produksi halal sesuai persyaratan

11 kriteria SJH (HAS 23000:1) Bertujuan untuk

Program 10 Juta Sertifikasi Halal Single Payment dan Harmonisasi


Sistem Pengajuan Sertifikat Halal
- BPJPH menargetkan untuk menerbitkan
10 Juta Sertifikat Halal baru tahun 2022
- Sebagian besar SH diharapkan datang - Awal tahun 2022 BPJPH telah menerapkan single
dari pelaku UMK yang menggunakan payment tarif sertifikasi halal
fasilitas Self-declare - Sistem pengajuan SH juga telah diharmonisasi dengan
- Butuh sosialisasi masif dan partisipasi LPH yang sudah diakui BPJPH (LPPOM, SI, Sucifndo)
