INSTRUCTIONS
In an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world, some issues are far too big for countries to
handle on their own. Countries need to work together, and they do so in part through international
organizations that encourage economic cooperation and diplomatic resolutions to global problems.
REQUIRED: PROVIDE AT LEAST SEVEN (7) INTERNATIONAL TRADE ORGANIZATIONS

REFLECTION QUESTION (Individual):

Note. This is to be answered individually. Same paper, just collate your answers and put your names
under your own answers.
Based on the international organizations that you have signified and their corresponding key
roles, as well as their perceived advantages and disadvantages, do you think that these
international organizations do more good than harm collectively in terms of advancing our
economy and political aspirations, say in our country the Philippines? Why or why not? Cite
your reasons. (You may back up your answers with real-life examples or scenarios for
a more practical approach)

ANSWER:

1. For me, these organizations do more good than harm on our country because for the past decades, our country
benefited their services one way or another. One example is when Philippines joined ASEAN. Our relationships
with neighbouring countries improved which opened for more job opportunities, study options, cheaper goods and
services, cheaper travel options and improved economy. Although there are disadvantages, perhaps it depends on
our county how to deal with these negative impacts because in the first place, these organizations were not made to
bring negative impacts but to improve the quality of its subordinates.
