RULE BOOK

The Game Changers - Brands of


the Future
HUL & CNBC-TV18 present L.I.M.E. 14 an inter B-school marketing and business
challenge to give students an opportunity to stretch their imagination and write the
future!

PARTICIPANT CRITERIA
LIME is open to all First Year MBA students

TEAM RULES &REGISTRATION


Students must register in a team of 3 and register via Unstop
(Dare2Compete) website

updated on registration and case submission timelines

Only the teams who register on the website by the deadline will receive
an exclusive invite to attend the virtual case launch of LIME Season XIV

HUL & CNBC-TV18 reserves the right to check the validity of the
registration information submitted at any point of time

Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of


the entire team

Please note that access to the launch event without registration or any
changes to the team constitution post launch will not be allowed

A team should consist of team members of the same campus unless they
are selected from the Unilever Changemakers Foundation School

All the 3 team members need to be present on call on the day of the jury
evaluation, failing which their entry shall stand disqualified

Teams should be available for a dry run before the evaluation ensure a
smooth process. The schedule for which will be shared by CNBC TV-18
LIME SEASON 14: VIRTUAL LAUNCH EVENT &
CASE STUDY REVEAL
We will host the launch event for LIME Season 14 on July 27th, 2022 in
virtual mode and release the case study on July 27th, 2022

Post the case launch we will conduct QnA sessions on July 29th, 2022
where teams can get their queries resolved

Following the above, each team is to perform their research, analysis


and come up with a 8-slider (case submission format will be enclosed
with the case study) by August 5th, 2022

PROCESS
HUL Lime 14 is split into three stages:

STAGE 1 BUILD SALIENCE :

Task 1 : Select a choice of brand (Dove, Surf, Boost, Lifebuoy), and 1


specific segment as well as target audience

Task 2 : Identify key brand benefit

Task 3 : Identify consumer insight

Task 4 : How will you deliver the communication idea through a


gaming led integration

Task 5 : Show how the communication idea looks on the gaming


integration
STAGE 2 PURCHASE INTENT & PURCHASE :

Selected teams from first round work on how to move brand


purchase metrics using various Gaming platforms

STAGE 3 FINALE -LARGE SCALE BEHAVIOR CHANGE (PURPOSE) LED THROUGH


GAMING :
You would be presenting a cohesive solution as a business proposal
to the management.

STAGE 1
Opening Round – Case Submission
Assessors & Jury members will evaluate the case submissions &
subsequently top entries across campuses will be announced on Unstop
(Dare2Compete) website

Idea on a presentation – 8-slider succinctly presenting the team’s


solution.

Teams are requested to upload the same on Unstop (Dare2Compete)


website

This round will be eliminatory and will be used to assess teams that will
proceed to the semi-finals stage

STAGE 2: SEMI-FINALS
Brief for the semi-finals will be shared with the shortlisted teams
subsequently. This will involve logical next steps to sharpen and
implement the idea proposed in the qualifying round

Teams shortlisted through Unilever Changemakers Foundation School


will directly qualify for the semi-finale round. Formation of these teams
will solely be at the discretion of HUL
Key deliverables
A power point presentation

Jury evaluation

All semi-finalists will present to a special jury

The jury will evaluate the performance based on the 7 mins presentation
+ 3 mins Q&A and identify top 4 teams to move to Grand Finale

STAGE 3: GRAND - FINALE


The final presentation by the top 4 teams will be a 20-minute-long
interaction per team (5 mins presentation + 15 mins Q&A)

The Finalist teams will present to the final jury consisting of the most
revered names in India Inc. Advertising & Marketing specialists and
academicians

The HUL Category Heads and Marketing Managers who mentored the
top teams would be invited to attend the Grand Finale

The auditors will collate the final score and the results will be declared
on the same day

PLEASE NOTE

Any deviation in the rules and regulations mentioned above will solely
be at the discretion of the management

These rules may be modified without any prior notification. Participant is


advised to regularly review terms. If there is any disagreement with any
of the terms and any amendments thereto, participant must not
participate in the competition
PRIZES

Qualifying Round: All semi-finalists will be shortlisted for a PPI as part of


the summer internship process (ULIP 2023)

Grand Finale winners: The winning team in the Grand Finale wins a grand
prize of INR 10,00,000

A cash prize of INR 3,00,000 to be awarded to the 1st runner up team, INR
2,00,000 to the 2nd runner up team and INR 1,00,000 to the 3rd runner up
team

The Winning team would also represent India at the global Unilever case
study competition- Unilever Future Leaders’ League 2023
