Greetings from the Queen City of the South, Cebu Philippines!

It’s my joy to give my recommendation with confidence to Ms. Glory Gwendolyn N. Vosotros
for admission to the 3rd Saling Panitik: Bienvenido Lumbera Seminar-Workshop on Translation.
I have known and was glad to teach her in the graduate studies of Cebu Normal University,
Masters in Panitikang Filipino. After reading through the qualifications of this project, I am
confident that the applicant is qualified and can be trusted to answer the need of this calling
without doubts.

As her thesis adviser, I strongly believe that the applicant is able to meet the demands of this
project because I have witnessed her passion in writing and her burning desire to create
something innovative that will awaken the dying interest of the students of the Filipino language
and literature.

I believe that her willingness to learn more, her humility to submit, and her commitment to save
and revitalize the dying language (Filipino) in private schools will sustain her until the project is
completed.

In addition, since her thesis project has to do with multi-translation (English-Filipino-Cebuano), I

believe that joining in your team while finishing her masters will never be a problem, in fact,
she’ll be hitting three birds in one bullet.
