to manage his/her behavior in class. The plan
● Be Safe outlines the incentives for good behavior and
consequences for his/her misbehavior.

● Be Respectful Each child is given a pocket/clip that displays their

behavior in the classroom. And each child will start
everyday with “Prepared to Learn”.
● Be Responsible
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
(PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing
the behavioral supports and social culture and
needed for all students in a school to achieve
social, emotional and academic success.
Teacher & School Aides explicitly teach
school-wide behaviors in all areas and can
award students who do the right thing with a
PBIS ticket (which can be redeemed every
month through our Harry Potter Incentive Cart.
Harry Potter House Colors/Points
Our school uses the Harry Potter theme to further extend our PBIS
approach to keep order among the students while spurring on their
sense of house/school pride. Houses earn (or lose) points for
participation during spirit week, overall attendance/behavior, and
assembly behavior.
