STRATEGIES FOR USERS

RESEARCH

USER POPULATION
populations are a range of users for a particular product or system. Population’ defined as the
group expected to make use of an item, instrument, product or data. Products may be
designed for a particular user population, however there are many products designed for
multiple population.

CLASIFICATION OF USERS
Users are classified by age, gender and physical condition. Allow
designed to gather detailed feedback to generate insights for
design development to each group. Users can also be classified
by interests, habits, nuances, emotional responses.

THE USE OF PERSONAE

Use to profile the primarily target audience the
needs of the customer, improve the quality of
products, understand the customer profoundly, and
identify which customer groups need to be valued.

SECONDARY PERSONAE
It is meant for those who are not primarily personae,
which means they conform with the design, but it is
not specifically made for them.

ANTI-PERSONAE
Particular individuals for whom the product is not
designed.

USER RESEARCH
It is the study of target users, which through out
analysis, observations and feedback attempts to
interpret the user's needs, wants and overall behavior
in order to contribute to the design process.

SCENARIO
Known as an imagined sequence of events or actions
from the future, which are based on assumptions made
by designers and researchers.

Scenarios provide and generate:

Both a social and physical context for different users

A simulation of user experience
New findings regarding a design
A perspective from a great, regular and worst case
scenario.

USE CASE
A list of actions, interactions or
event steps between a user and a
product.
