I. Introduction
Research management is defined as the application of both management and management science to a particular field of research and
development activities.
Action research is a three-step spiral process of (1) planning which involves fact-finding, (2) taking action, and (3) fact-finding about the
results of the action. (Lewin, 1947) Action research is a process by which practitioners attempt to study their problems scientifically in order to
guide, correct, and evaluate their decisions and action.
Action research is a form of collective self-reflective enquiry undertaken by participants in social situations in order to improve the rationality and
justice of their own social or educational practices, as well as their understanding of those practices and the situations in which the practices are
carried out. According to Hensen, action research (a) helps teachers develop new knowledge directly related to their classrooms, (b) promotes
reflective teaching and thinking, (c) expands teachers' pedagogical repertoire, (d) puts teachers in charge of their craft, (e) reinforces the link
between practice and student achievement.
