Story Writing

It was supposed to be an ordinary day but as I woke up the whole scenario

changed. I woke up at noon. The reddish colour of the sun was shining on my bed
through the covered window. I got up and went downstairs to get my breakfast. I
went down but the lights were out. In fact, the painting that we had along the stair
case weren’t there anymore.

I went down only to stand there in the middle of an empty hollow room.
Shocked I was staring in bewilderment, I couldn’t see anything or anyone. The house
from inside was completely empty. I was shocked enough, so I started to explore a
bit to find any clues to what was happening, maybe a note left for me to read? I
checked every room and ever corner of the house, but there was nothing, no
furniture, no sign of my family, nothing.

I started to shake a bit in confusion, asking, ‘what has happened?’ So, I ran to
the door. I took a sigh and grabbed the door. Just as I opened a small portion of the
door, the whole thing flung open throwing me feet back, as if someone was waiting
for me and was ready to lug open my door. But that door that just opened wasn’t
much of a door. To the other side was the unimaginable horrific reality. I almost lost
my consciousness glazing at the other side. I had lost the perception of reality. I was
in a state where even my mind couldn’t comprehend. It was as if my mind had left
my own body.

I saw, and speechless to see, the whole world had been abominated. The
building had collapsed the trees were gone, the cars, in fact even the mountains had
been wiped away into dust. The Earth was shaking a violent shake, and the sky was
splitting about and the sky was as if it was pouring rain of fire. To my view, the
universe was falling apart. The stars were falling one after the other. There was no
sign of life anywhere. I was desolate in the middle of mass destruction. My ears were
filled with rage of the screeching and violent winds so even they had no rest. So my
mind at such a sight had completely wiped away as well. The whole universe piece by
piece, atom by atom was being split apart. Nothing could be overcome; there was no
escape, so I was in the position I was, thinking to myself, ‘Where is the escape to all
of this? What led me here?’

Even now as I visualized to what was happening, the house I was in started to
tremble, and with the blink of an eye it fell down into millions of pieces so that now I
was exposed to all the destruction. I could barely feel my body anymore. The top of
my head, my fore head and been covered with sweat due to the intensity. The
intensity of the whole situation had caught up to me. Little did I think of how I wasn’t
affected by any of the hazards, the destruction that was surrounding the atoms near
me.

Now I could see the whole world flattening about. The Earth too had split. My
eyes started to malfunction. The intensity had caught up to them, but still I could
see; there is no escape, everything has been shattered, there is no life or help. It was
only me. That was the Ultimate reality.
