Strathmore University Debate Competition:

Round #1: This house believes that an intelligent


but poor student would pursue vocational education
(TVET) over a traditional college degree.

Round #2: This house believes that the East African


community should prioritise its relationship with the
East (China, Russia, India) over the west
(USA,UK,Canada).

Round #3: This house prefers leaderless social


justice movements as opposed to one with clearly
identifiable leaders.

Round #4: This house believes that schools should


adopt a disciplinary approach to students who bully
which prioritises rehabilitation instead of
punishment.

Round #5: This house prefers environmental


movements heavily prioritising a local agenda over a
global one. (e.g: focusing on a local pollution issue
rather than global climate change initiatives).

Semi-Finals:
Motion: This house will cancel all debts held by
poor countries.

Finals:
Motion: This house believes that response to global
pandemics should be led by WHO rather than by
individual governments.
