ASSIGNMENT-2 CASE ANALYSIS

SUMMARY:

Dr. Roberto Hernandez is a talented individual who graduated top in his class and was awarded a
fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. After all of this, he wanted to continue his dream of
becoming a heart surgeon, but his father was unwell at the time, and he returned home to care for
him. When his father recovered, he intended to pursue his goal, but his mother became ill and
died within a few days. He lives there as a result of this because his father needs him. Then he
opted to start a medical profession in his hometown for 20 years. His younger sister, Alicia,
completed her accounting studies and then launched her own firm, which she sold after a while.
And decided to become a helping hand of his father in his business. She began managing
paperwork and patients, as well as handling accounts, during which time she observed that his
brother was billing Medicaid patients. She chose to complete all documentation after gaining
information and discovered a large number of charges per year. She immediately went to his
brother and informed him of the situation. His brother said he didn't know anything about it
because he's bad with accounts, but she double-checked that it wasn't by accident that his brother
understood everything there was to know about Medicaid and patients. What should she do now
that she is in dilemma? Is she going to notify the cops about it? If she doesn't, she'll go to jail
since we can't get away from this in a tiny community.

CONFLICTS IN THIS CASE:

 ABSENCE OF SUPERVISOR:

In this scenario, the supervisor is critical because no one saw this job before Alicia and took
action to stop the illicit procedure. In any firm, the absence of a supervisor or accountant is a
major conflict because occasionally owners are unaware of the wrong things.

 LACK OF AWARENESS IN COMMUNITY:

People in that region are unaware of this legislation, and as a result, they squander a lot of money
while also contributing to the illicit system in their town due to lack of knowledge.

 EMOTHIONAL ATTACHMENT:
As Alicia now knew the truth, she discovered that his brother had done something improper with
the town's impoverished people, which was illegal according to legal regulations. However, she
is hesitant to take action since she is emotionally linked to his brother. She recalls his brother's
decision to abandon his dream because of his family.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION STRATEGY:

 Alicia should take action against his brother and file a police report so that this does not
happen again.
 These conflicts can be controlled by effective management oversight, which can be
accomplished by putting CCTV cameras in work spaces.
 While providing Medicaid, the government should show various videos and programs
related to it in which they explain which types of expenses are covered so that people are
aware.
