COURSE DESCRIPTION As mandated by Republic Act 1425, this course covers the lives and works of ourheroes who lived and died for the ideals of
freedom and nationalism which have shaped our national character. A major focus of discussion would be Jose Rizal’s life, works,
and writing particularly his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo which serve as constant and inspiring sources of
patriotism. This course seeks to develop a sense of moral character, personal discipline, civic consciousness, and duties of
citizenship of the Filipino youth.

Classroom Policy

1. Students are encouraged to attend the class sessions (online students) and complete all the requirements (online and offline students).
2. The course is expected to have a minimum of four (4) quizzes and two (2) major examinations (Midterm and Final Examinations).
3. Other requirements such as written outputs, exercises, assignments, and the likes will be given throughout the sessions (online) or printed materials will be
distributed to the students (offline). These shall be submitted on the set due dates.
