1. General
The maintenance of following machines was carried out, and it was completed owing to your excellent
management and cooperation on us.
We thank you most warmly for your hospitality extended to our Technical Field Advisors during their stay
at your site.
Based on the findings during maintenance work, we would like to give some recommendations for the
successful continuous operation and complete preparation toward next maintenance.
In addition to this recommendation, please refer to Service Report, which is separately issued.

2. Recommended Spare Parts and Used Spare Parts

Some spare parts were used in this maintenance, and some parts are recommended based on
the observation/finding by Technical Field Advisors.
We would like to highly recommend you to purchase these parts for next maintenance.
Please refer to attached Recommended Spare Parts List and Used Spare Parts List.
(Refer to Attachment-1 & 2)

In addition to the spare parts, an availability of spare rotor is very important to minimize a recovery period
in the case of unexpected trouble.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to send the used rotors as early as possible to MCO workshop
and/or MCO certified local workshop for the inspection and refurbishment.

3. Technical Comments on Problems & Special Note

There were some findings in this maintenance and reported by Technical Filed Advisors as Problems &
Special Note.
We would like to highly recommend you to take necessary action in accordance with our comments, for
future operation and/or next maintenance.

4. Additional Proposal for Reliable Operation

As purpose to achieve long term safety operation with high reliability in future, we would like to propose
to apply the upgraded items.

These nuts couldn't be opend.

Customer did not have a open end flogging spanner to safely open the GV nuts around the spring can location.
Finding a alternative spanner caused 4-5 days delay to disassembly of the GV. After the PT inspection/ blue
check with a good result - customer decided to not proceed with a further disassembly of the valve. This to avoid
any possible time delay.

Remarks
The spanner for GV nut is not included as special tool supplied from MCO.

It is recommeded to store the alternative spanner which was prepared this time and to use it for future
turnaround.

Technical comments and recommendations

It is recommended to refurbish the used rotor at MCO shop.
In order to avoid fouling, MCO would like to recommend sermalon coating as shown in Attachment-4.

It was hard to remove DE side shaft seal labyrinth due to a damaged threaded hole. Therefore the head had to
be removed with the Laby still installed. This could be problem for a minor overhaul.
