Transfer Goal: The learner will be able to apply the skills underlying desktop publishing creation that
works to deliver a good performance by producing a high quality and marketable products.
Essential Understanding:
The students will understand that effective use of appropriate desktop publishing software will help
them produce/provide high quality and marketable services.
Essential Questions:
1. How does one create and design creative flyers?
2. Why is it important to study desktop publishing?
3. How does individual learned desktop publishing become successful in life?

I. PRELIMINARIES
Review: Preliminaries (overview of the subject)
Focus: Introduction to Desktop Publishing
Motivation:
The students witness through PowerPoint presentation the different forms of desktop publishing
products such as; flyers, certificates, brochures, invitation cards, calling cards and newspaper layout.
Further, they will be introduced to the first software to be used in creating those samples.
Activating Prior Knowledge:
Ask the students how does these samples created?
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
A. A. Presentation of Concepts
1. Students will identify the concept of Desktop Publishing
2. Students will be able to familiarize the main functions of MS Publisher.
3. Students will be able to appreciate the importance of learning/mastering desktop publishing course in
daily life.

1. In our current situation this time, creative designs studios are using most advanced and updated
technologies just to create the best concepts and design ideas for their clients. From simple silkscreen
printing before, now they are using full bleed sublimation.
2. Explain why is it important for individual to be update always in learning different techniques in
desktop publishing?
