Oral Evaluation: The oral evaluations are to evaluate the students’ competence in the target
language. In here, the student will be evaluated in his or her use of structures and vocabulary. The
date to present the oral exam will be given by the teacher if a student does not show up on time
and place, the teacher will not give you a new chance to do it, you miss your opportunity, and you
will have to prepare yourself for “recuperación uno” that will be scheduled by the teacher. Excuses
are not accepted.
Written evaluation: The written evaluation should be written in English by the student according
to the writing evaluation of each unit. Remember, copy-paste, plagiarism, or google translation is
NOT allowed in the Language Department. If the teacher finds out that your paper is copied, the
grade of your writing evaluation will be annulated.
Reading, listening and grammar evaluations will be applied through the institutional platform, for
this reason, each student should be enrolled in the Inglés VIII course. The date to present these
evaluations will be given by the teacher in advanced if a student does not present on time and
place, the teacher will not give you a new chance to do it, you miss your opportunity, and you will
have to prepare yourself for “recuperación uno” that will be scheduled by the teacher. Excuses are
not accepted.
Saber Ser: Saber Ser will be evaluated according to the Saber Ser rubric.
Attendance: Class attendance is very important if you missed a class, you can miss a very
important or difficult topic. The teacher will not repeat the class; it is your obligation to ask you
classmates about the topics seen in class.
Virtual class: It is very important to fulfill with this item so every week the teacher will ask for tasks
online for students to work on it, only this way the attendance for the virtual class will be valid.

Tutoring (asesorÍas):
It is my responsibility to help you with your doubts about the class. I am giving “asesorías”
every Friday from from 18:00 am to 19:00 pm . In addition, I am on line Monday,Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for virtual help. Before any “asesoría”, it will be
necessary to talk first to the teacher and agree on having the “asesoría”. Remember “asesorÍas”
are not private lessons; the “asesorÍas” are to answer your doubts about a certain topic.

Note:
1.- Any late or missed assignments must be discussed in advance with the teacher. It is
your responsibility to ask any questions you need, and it is my responsibility to answer or
guide you to find an answer.
2.- Misbehavior is not accepted in the classroom.
3.- Do not forget to be punctual and do not distract yourself with a cellphone, only if it is
totally necessary.

Animal protection law


The Government extends the penalty for mistreating and killing an animal to two
years in prison
Introduction:
I chose this topic because it is quite important to end the cruelty of people towards
animals. We must apply this law throughout the country without exceptions. We must
help those who cannot speak since, after all, they are beings and even some people
consider some animals as our own family.
Text:
With the increase in cases of animal abuse, the Council of Ministers has approved
this Friday a modification of the Penal Code to extend the penalties for animal abuse.
Specifically, abuse that ends in the death of the animal will be increased from 18
months to two years in prison, and assaults involving veterinary care will be
increased from three months to 18 months in prison.
With this change we begin to end immunity to abuse.
The criminal modification comes accompanied by the approval of the preliminary
draft of the animal protection law, which has been paralyzed since the Ministry of
Social Rights released a draft in October. The enactment of a state law has been a
pending issue for decades, which is why protection entities and animal rights experts
applaud the regulations, although they warn that it is insufficient since it focuses on
pets and animals in the urban environment.
The law also prevents practices that cause suffering, such as the use of electric
collars or spikes, the possibility of leading dogs tied to a vehicle or their use in fights.
Conclution:
In conclusion, I chose this topic because it is something that most people do not take
much importance to, but we must help animals because they are beings that cannot
defend themselves, we want to change our laws so that we improve everyone's life.

People who harm others must be punished, apply the laws to anyone, the people
who care that our country changes want any law to be applied so that our country is
better for our friends and family.
Also the people who love dogs, cats or any other animal we want everyone to live in
peace.

Animal protection law
I chose this news because it seems very important to me, it is a criminal code to
extend the penalties for animal abuse.
The news catches my attention because I really like animals, but more dogs and I
am very happy about this news because before there was no law to protect animals.
The penalty used to be 18 months and now it goes up to 2 or 3 years in prison. This
news informs me that the law has a regulation with a triple objective that is aimed at
the abuse, sacrifice and abandonment of animals, it also prevents the sale of pets in
stores and production or experimental animals, which are governed by specific
regulations. Animals were prohibited in circuses since they must be in their natural
habitat. This law that goes against people who do these acts also in terms of people
who have pets, it is established that they cannot leave them on terraces, patios or

basements, or in closed vehicles, or tied to the doors of an establishment without
supervision.
