BOOTSTRAP-2022 Learning Outcome:
At PES University, we do our best to nurture
skills and values that will stand you in good
stead no matter which career you choose. Our
unique educational methods will ensure that
you gain not just depth and breadth in your
chosen area of specialization, but a holistic set
of skills / that will equip you to face the real
world.
What is Bootstrap?
Bootstrap brings together groups of students to
accomplish practical tasks. The exercise
shapes a realistic approach to participants to
situations where they can assess how skilful
they are and know what they lack.
Why Bootstrap?
Skills inspire us to take the steps towards the
goals, be they academic, professional or
personal. Improving leadership skills can help
make the most of an active academic
environment on campus and all that is gained
by attending classes.
I. Event Name: ERA This event is based on
evolution of human era and its
amalgamation with business. Students go
through each era starting from Nomadic
era till the Globalisation era, playing
business games related to it.
The eras & event concerned with each are:
• Nomadic Era – A Wayfarer’s Way
• Vikings Era – Crisis Averted
• Medieval Era – A Medieval Bid
• World War Era – International
Arbitration
• Globalisation Era – Quiz
Students will be allotted to 4 different venues
& will be divided into 10 teams per venue.
Each team will have 6-8 members.
A leader board will go up after each event &
the team with the highest points will win the
ERA.
Nomadic Era: The Wayfarer’s Way involves
use of creative and innovative ideas and
facilitate effective communication among the
students.

styles of communication.

knowledge and exhibit creative
skills
Vikings Era: The activity involves a group of
students solving unique situations in the form
of crisis, pictures, word search etc

Medieval Era: The Medieval Bid is a
management activity which requires ability to
make decisions and management of resources
and Time management.

World War Era: The International Relations
activity helps students to in communication,
negotiation to develop strategic moves .

II. Event Name: ACT
Teambuilding: The event focuses on
enhancing teambuilding, effective
collaboration and communication skills
Learning Outcomes:
 • The activity will help you appreciate
the need for combined team efforts
and discover efficient method to build
relationship among relatively
unknown people.
Mock Trade: India is among the fastest-
growing economies in the world, and the
country's stock market is one of the cardinal
aspects of this economy. Regardless of their
educational background, we’ve glimpsed a
drastic rise in the number of investors. Being
young citizens and contributing to the
country’s financial network, this event would
help them effectuate.
Learning Outcomes:
• This flagship event can boost the vital
self-confidence of the young peers to
pursue their financial well-being from
this day forth.
• Schooling about the basics of the stock
market, this event would also enhance
their analytical and fundamental skills.
• Implementing it in their life would
also help students gain financial
freedom in their early 20s or before.
LogicVerse is an event designed by the Centre
for Business Data Analytics (CBDA) team to
emphasize the importance of information/data
and analytical skills in the real world. The first
part of the event is Team Building. Based on
participants' inputs, an automated real-time
system will create 15 teams. The second part
of the event is the Excel lab, where the teams
will work on an analytics case study. In the
third part of the event, “Result and Analysis”,
the teams will understand the process of
automated analytics that can enhance one’s
understanding of data.

Treasure Tank Treasure Tank is an event
designed by the Centre for Business Data
Analytics (CBDA) team to introduce the
importance of resolving skills among UG
students using a series of practical tasks. The
first part of the event uses the concept “Riddle
It Out”, where based on IQ, EQ, and
pressurehandling abilities, 15 teams will be
created. The second part of the event, Shark
Tank, allows showcasing the team’s business
plan idea. The third part of the event,
Scavenger Hunt, introduces the hints-based
identification of the location on the campus.

• Pressure-handling abilities

• A fair knowledge of the positioning
mapping of the different facilities on
the university campus.
