difficulty with vision includes: VoiceOver, Zoom,
Display & Text Size, Motion, Spoken Content, and
Audio Description. For this portion, we will focus
solely on VoiceOver.

VoiceOver will vocalize items on the screen and

also provide helpful hints for the user. VoiceOver
can be controlled using an easy to use set of
gestures that are given when you select “Learn
More…” at the top left corner of the screen. To
put it more simply, it is a gesture-based screen
reader.

VoiceOver is completely customizable per the

user’s preferences. They offer options to
use/change the sound of the voice or can opt to
use Braille instead. You can also change the speed
of the speaking rate.

- It is the first option under the “Vision”

Section of the Accessibility tab in the
settings app. Can be switched on and off.

audio can be heard during phone calls or FaceTime
(either through a speaker or Bluetooth).

Motor” section of the Accessibility tab in

select their preferred language and customize
their commands. You can also teach the feature
new words by adding them to the feature’s
vocabulary.
