the requirement for under graduate degree in English Education Department, Teacher

Training and Tarbiyah Faculty at State Institute of Islamic Studies Samarinda in

2020. Also, Shalawat and Salam upon to our prophet Muhammad

ShallallahuAlaihiWasalam who has guided human from the dark side of life into a

better life.

The means of this study was for enhance the quality of three levels of the

reading comprehension questions, those are literal, inferential, and evaluative.

Hopefully, this study might inspire the students and lecturers about some aspect as

well as the future researcher.

Nevertheless, the succesful of completion of this study might not be happened

without a help, pray, motivation, support, and knowledge from others. Here I want to

show my appropriation and grateful toward pepole who give a meaning on my hard

work.

Aspianur, 2020. “Teaching Speaking at The Third Grade of SMA Madina


Citra Insani Samarinda.” S1 Thesis, study program of English Education
Department, Teacher Training and Tarbiyah Faculty, State Islamic Institute of
Samarinda. This Research is under guidance of Mohamad Muklis, M.Hum as the first
advisor and Dra. Sitti Hadijah, M.Pd as the second advisor.

This study was aimed describing how is the teaching-learning of speaking to


XII grade student SMA Madina Citra Insani Samarinda, describing the problem faced
by the teacher, describing the solution of the problem faced by the teacher.
The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research which
analyze in the data in the form of word. The researcher conducted in XII grade
student of SMA Madina Citra Insani Samarinda which consist of 15 students. The
method of collecting data were 1) Observation 2) Interveiw 3)Documentation.
The result of the research that the teacher used the Direct Method. The
material which is used in teaching-learning process of speaking skill was taken
through videos . The media which is used by the teacher are Whiteboard, marker,
LCD and Textbook. The teacher’s role were as organizer, as assessor, as motivator, as
controller. The student’s role were as the performer, as listener, as the main subject of
learning. The problem faced by the teacher were the different levels of students and
arrange the time. The problems faced by the students were lack motivation, lack
vocabulary, pronunciation, low- self confidence. The solutions of problems faced by
the teacher were by increase low self-confidence, increasing vocabularly, need more
motivation, pronunciation.

Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Samarinda. penelitian ini
dibawah bimbingan Mohamad Muklis, M.Hum sebagai pembimbing pertama dan
Dra. Sitti Hadijah, M.Pd sebagai pembimbing kedua.

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana proses


pembelajaran speaking di kelas XII SMA Madina Citra Insani Samarinda,
menggambarkan masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru, menggambarkan solusi dari
masalah-masalah yang dihadapi guru.
Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif.
peneliti melakukan penelitian di kelas XII SMA Madina Citra Insani Samarinda yang
terdiri dari 15 murid. Metode-metode pengumpulan data adalah 1) observasi 2)
wawancara 3) dokumentasi.
Hasil dari penelitian bahwa guru menggunakan metode langsung saat mengajar.
Materi yang diajarkan pada saat mengajar kemampuan speaking adalah melalui video
percakapan Media yang digunakan oleh guru adalah papan tulis, spidol, LCD dan
buku teks. Peran guru sebagai organisator, sebagai penilai, sebagai pengatur. Peran
murid adalah sebagai pemain, sebagai pendengar, sebagai subjek utama
pembelajaran. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah Tingkatan murid-murid yang
berbeda dan pengaturan waktu. Masalah-masalah yang dihadapi oleh murid-murid
adalah kekurangan motivasi, kekurangan kosa kata, pengucapan,tidak percaya diri.
Solusi dari masalah-masalah yang dihadapi guru dan murid adalah meningkatkan
kepercayaan diri, meningkatkan kosa kata, membutuhkan motivasi yang lebih,
pengucapan.
