COMPANY RULES

AND

REGULATIONS

To ensure the cooperation of everyone in promoting efficient and

harmonious operations of the Pharmacy. Management has established

certain rules and regulations to serve as every employee’s guide in their

day to day activities.


I.DISHONESTY

It will not tolerate any act of dishonesty, cheating and


misrepresentation

II.CONDUCT AND BEHAVIORS

All are expected to follow the acceptable standards of behavior that


directly and indirectly affect his/her relations with his superiors, peers and the
Pharmacy.

III.HEALTH SAFETY AND SECURITY

To ensure the health, safety and security of all employees and


Pharmacy.

IV.JOB PERFORMANCE

All are expected to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities
and responsibilities.

V.SERVING MEDICINES TO CUSTOMERS

Exercise at all times necessary precautions in


serving/counterchecking before dispensing.

VI.BIOREF PRODUCTS

Always put inside the Bioref immediately upon receive to the


supplies.

PRIMARY DUTIES OF PHARMACY

PERSONNEL IN HEALTHCARE

1. The primary concern of all pharmacy personnel must be the health and
well-being of the clients (patient care) and the community.
2. Must respect the confidentiality of information acquired in the course of
the professionals practice relating to clients and their families. Such
information shall not be disclosed to anyone without the consent of the
client.
3. Must respect the skill and expertise of other health professionals and
work cooperatively with them to optimize the health outcomes of their
mutual clients.
4. Shall provide complete, truthful and accurate information to clients
regarding products and services and shall avoid misleading clients
regarding the nature, cost or value of such products and services.
5. Must respect the client’s autonomy and their right to make informed
decisions relating to their treatment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE EMPLOYEES

1. MANAGER (OWNER OR PHARMACIST)

a. Report discrepancies or damages products during the deliveries.


b. Maintain the cleanliness of the store at all times. Assign personnel to
respective areas to perform cleaning.
c. Check deliveries properly.
d. Handle customer complains properly
e. Observe the dispensing and selling activities of all the personnel to
avoid wrong dispensing, it can cause legal suit.
f. Maintain the store attractiveness at all times.
g. Must be knowledgeable and aware of the laws, regulations and
orderliness.
h. Ensure that all the workers must come to work on time.
i. The manager/owner/pharmacist is a multitasking individual and works
professionally
j. All the documents must be considered important. It must be properly
and neatly filed.
k. Analyzed stock level intelligently.
l. If there are price increase, immediately change or update the price in
the stock control.
m. Always remind personnel to suggest alternative products in case of out
of stock of the products
n. Maintain full force of the personnel during the peak days and hours.
o. Must have basic knowledge on business management and pharmacy
practice.

2. THE PHARMACIST

a. Orients and trains pharmacy assistants.
b. Renew license to operate (LTO) a month before the validity date.
c. Monitor training of employees.
d. Review prescriptions issued by the physicians or other authorized
prescribers to ensure correctness and accuracy in dispensing the
pharmaceutical products.
e. Make sure that all the dispensing materials such as labels, counting
trays, distilled water for reconstitution.
f. Records prescriptions to RX book indicating of each drug dispensed,
update the book regularly.
g. Make sure that all the health products are handled following First
Expiry First Out policy.
