COURSE OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

1. Describe the various organizational behavior concepts and theories in hospitality


and foodservice work environment (C2).
2. Analyze the various styles of leadership and the importance of motivation towards
employees’ satisfaction and performance (C4).
3. Demonstrate autonomous learning for individual and group behavior and its
relationship with work environment (A5).

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Organizational behavior is a field study that specifically focuses on the impact that people have
on organizational survival and effectiveness. This course provides students with a
management perspective and the complexity of behavior in hospitality and foodservice
organizations. Its aim is to provide students with an understanding of the importance of
individual differences; group dynamics, work attitudes, and their antecedents and
consequences at work within the business environment.
