Summary of Internship Activities

Description of Activities
3 From week 3 onwards I started doing lab testing work in lab and was
particularly focused on soil as testing material.

Before doing any test I went through IS Codes and lab manuals of each
individual tests. For soil I studied,

IS 2720-1-1983 --- For preparation of dry soil sample

IS 2720-2-1983 --- For Water content
IS 2720-4-1983 --- For Grain size analysis
IS 2720-5-1983 --- For liquid limit & Plastic limit
IS 2720-7-1983 --- For light compaction

After studying IS codes and lab manual for each individual test in
guidance of lab technician I performed Water content test, Grain size
analysis, Liquid limit and plastic limit test and light compaction test. I
also prepared data sheets for each individual test.
