Why Charged Plastic Bags Policy is not Effective

Charged plastic bags policy which was implemented in 2016 is not effective to reduce plastic
waste because of some reasons. The first reason is that the cost is very cheap which was IDR200.
If we compare it to the cost of charged plastic bag in Scotland, the cost of charged plastic there is
more expensive than the cost of charged plastic in Indonesia. Besides, the charged plastic bag
policy is only implemented in retail markets, such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Giant, Hypermart,
and many more.
However, the biggest use of plastic bag is in traditional markets. In traditional markets, the
use of plastic bag is 70% while in retail markets is only 30%. Next, the plastic bags that retail
markets use are degradable plastic bags. Almost all retail markets use degradable plastic bags,
and almost all the producers of plastic bag also produce their plastic bags using natural
substances. Indomaret, for example, on their website, stated that they use plastic bag made of
Oxium which is cheap degradable plastic and can be decomposed in only two years.
Thus, the charged plastic bag policy implementation was stop on October 1 st, 2016. In my
opinion, it is better if the government re-evaluate this policy to become more effective by
increasing the charge, implementing not only to retail markets, and implementing policy of using
the degradable plastic bag.

Implementing Health Protocols in the Midst of Pandemic

People are starting to abandon the habit of wearing masks and keeping their distance amid
the pandemic that has been going on for nearly nine months. Is it okay to ignore the health
protocols? The answer is absolutely no. We should keep obeying the health protocols because
the pandemic is not over yet.
In the early pandemic, most of the people are discipline in obeying the health protocols such
as wearing mask, washing hands, and keeping a distance. These days, there is a pandemic fatigue
where people are tired of being restricted for months in this pandemic.
However, this phenomenon cannot be a reason for us to ignore the health protocols. It is
because there is no cure yet which to combat the ferocity of the coronavirus. The most important
thing that we can do is stick to health protocols so that we can break the chain of virus spread.
In addition, CDC or Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends us to wear
mask since it can prevent us from getting or spreading the virus.
Therefore, we need to continue to protect ourselves from exposure to the virus for the good
of ourselves and others. To overcome fatigue in the midst of a pandemic, we can try to keep in
touch with the people closest to us so that we do not feel bored. We should remember that
everyone can be exposed to viruses, so it is important to always implement health protocols,

Mobile phone should be banned at school

Recently most people own mobile phone. Why does mobile phone user increase
dramatically in recent years? First, the feature and functions has increased. Mobile phone is not
used just for calling, but sending text, taking pictures, recording videos, accessing internet,
playing games and much more. Second, mobile phone has also become a lot cheaper. Now this
communication device does not only fill the pocket of adult but also teenager and student. Even a
lot phones are intentionally designed to teenaged market. However, should they be allowed to
bring them to school?
Many schools do not allow students to bring cell phones to school. it is very reasonable
because bringing phone to school potentially disrupts the learning process. Most students use cell
phones irresponsibly. They use cell phones to talk to their friend during class time. They also use
the calculator and camera features in the class as well. Those potentially lead less concentration
in the time of learning and teaching process.
Students go to school to learn and behave fair way. Mobile phones provide a large
temptation to cheat in tests. They can communicate to anyone and almost anywhere in the world.
Because of the small size of the cell phone, students can send a text quietly and discreetly. The
text can go unnoticed anywhere to get help on answering tests, homework, and other class
assignment.
Learning in school is to behave fair not cheating. Therefore, schools should ban students

Rain and tears are the same

When you cry
In winter time
You can pretend
It's nothing but the rain
How many times I've seen
Tears coming from your blue eyes
Rain and tears, are the same
But in the sun
You've got to play the game
Give me an answer, love (oh)
I need an answer, love (oh)
Rain and tears in the sun
But in your heart

For in my heart there 'll never be a sun

Outdoors

All day I've been inside

And I've got the feeling
I'm trapped between the walls
And underneath the ceiling
I feel a bit off track
And now I'm trying to get back
Back in the cool cool air
Where the sun in shining
Nothing's gonna stop me
It's all in the timing
It's finally again my turn
It's time to return
Cause I won't stay inside
No more no more
I cannot wait to go outdoors
Mmmhmmhmmhmm
hey hey hey (Elmo)
Well open up your door
And be like me
Open up your door
And then breathe free
Look at all the beauty you'll feel
Love love love love
Listen to the music of the wind
And the birdies sing
We're just one big family
And all of nature deserves to be
Loved loved loved loved loved
So I won't stay inside
No more no more
It cannot wait
I'm sure
There's no need to run and hide
Let's go explore
It feels so great
Let's go outdoors
do do do do do do do do
Everyone come on
Come on out here
Where the air is fresh and clear
So I won't stay inside
No more no more
It cannot wait
Let's go outdoors
Jason:
Well open up your door
And be like me
Open up your door
And then breathe free
Look at all the beauty
And you'll find the earth
And the sky is yours
So please don't
There's no need
There's no need to hide inside
Let's go explore
This'll this'll
It feels so great
Let's go outdoors
