Mục đích của Sentence stress là:

Nhấn mạnh đến nguồn của thông tin

Nhấn mạnh nội dung quan trọng trong câu
Tạo điểm ngắt nghỉ cho câu
Đưa ra so sánh hoặc tương phản

Có thể tạo Sentence stress trong câu bằng các cách:

Hạ tông giọng
Nâng tông giọng
Kéo dài giọng
Gằn giọng
Hạ tông giọng ở những phần còn lại
Nói to hơn

convenient as it means I can pop home during breaks from lectures and make lunch so I don’t
waste money on the food in the school canteen.
