• The fabric “A” clamps the spreader bar “B”, who is not fixed at any place, against the rollers
“C”.
• The sand roller pulls the fabric forwards so the spreader bar “B” turns around.
• The support plate “D” ensures that the spreader bar stays in place sideways.
• The bolt “E” ensures that the rolling spreader bar stays in place when there is no fabric on the
loom.
Furthermore, when modifying the reduction ratio also take into account the settings and the
let-off motion range.
Minimum pick density The following table shows the minimum pick density (picks/cm) achievable, given a shrinkage factor

A To enter the pick density (and unit) required. This may already have been
determined by the pattern.
B To set the pick density correction factor.
Example: if you set 20 picks/cm as pick density required and you obtain
20.5 picks/cm, you have to set the correction factor to 97.5%.
C To set the reduction ratio for the take-up motion gearbox.
You must enter the reduction ratio that is effectively fitted on the weaving
machine.
D To set the pull through speed:

wind up to keep the warp tension constant.
B To switch on and off Start Correction Offset and to enter an SCO value.
SCO: after machine start-up the ELO motor will gradually (e.g. in the course of 50
picks) achieve the preset warp tension.
C To switch on and off the “Low elasticity”.
D To switch on and off Reverse Winding Up and to enter an RWU value.
RWU: the ELO motor winds up each time the weaving machine reverses one turn.

TUCO 1 To switch on and off the TUCO 1 and to enter TUCO 1 values.
The TUCO 1 procedure adjusts the pick density during weaving machine braking.
TUCO 4 To switch on and off the TUCO 4 and to enter TUCO 4 values.
TUCO 4 creates a fell movement immediately after a machine stop.
TUCO 3 To switch on and off the TUCO 3 and to enter TUCO 3 values.
TUCO 3 creates a fell movement just before machine start-up.
TUCO 2 To switch on and off the TUCO 2 and to enter TUCO 2 values. Press the
button to enter values for each of the first 10 picks.
.
First 10 picks If a machine stop occurs within the first 10 picks, no TUCO procedure is performed.
Entering values: The standard pick density is 100%. If you want another pick density, enter the following values:
TUCO 1 and 2 If you have ... then enter...
open marks a value > 100%
dense marks a value < 100%

A Move To prevent the reed touching the cloth fell during slow motion movements, ELO and
forward ETU move the cloth forward during stop and backward at start.
Use ‘Move forward’ in absence of pick finder. Start moving 5 mm and adjust in steps
of 2,5 mm until the cloth fell is no longer touched.
Do not use ‘Move forward’ on machines with full width temple.
B Shake To reduce the temple marks by moving the cloth fell backward and forward before
start, using ELO and ETU together. The shake movement can be done 1 or 2 times.
Use ‘Shake’ to remove temple marks. Start shaking 3 picks and adjust per 0.3 pick.
Don’t shake more than 1 cm.
Do not use ‘Shake’ on machines with full width temple.

Function • The piece length measurement function is used for weaving of pieces (e.g. ties, scarves,
handkerchiefs, towels, ...) .
• The piece length measurement function checks whether the length of a woven piece remains
within the set limits.
Operation If the woven piece length does not correspond with the set piece length after weaving a set pattern,
the machine will stop and the pick density will have to be set.

Illumination types
Led-lamps The fabric is illuminated by means of bright high quality LED-lamps.
The following table shows the number of LED-lamps per meter according to the position of the lamp:
Position LED’s per meter
Above the fabric (ILUP) 28
Above the back shed 28
Below the fabric (ILLOW) 56
Different lengths The LED-lamps come in different lengths (150, 175, 200, 225 and 250 cm.). These can be combined
to assure a full illumination of the fabric.
The (combined) length of the LED-lamps also depends on whether or not the machine is reduced in
width. This brings us the following situations:
A. Mechanical filling cutter
B. Mechanical filling cutter with a maximum of 25 cm width reduction on the left-hand side
C. Mechanical filling cutter with a maximum of 50 cm width reduction on the left-hand side
Only the lower LED-lamp lengths are dependent of width reduction. The upper LED-lamps are
not depending on whether or not there is width reduction.
The table below shows the possible combinations of LED-lamps according to the machine type and
the width reduction:

Attention points When mounting the upper LED-lamps pay attention to the following points:
• Make sure the LED-lamps are mounted properly and are positioned correctly.
• Make sure there is no interference with other parts on the machine.
• In case of interference with the Quickstep, move the LED-lamp to the right.
• In case of 2 LED-lamps, make sure there is a clearance of minimum 2-3 cm between both
lamps.
min 2-3 cm
10 - 20 cm 10 - 20 cm
3. Mount the LED-lamp “D” in the lower side of the support “A”.
4. Secure the lower side of the support “A” with an O-ring “E”.
Attention points When mounting the lower LED-lamps pay attention to the following points:
• Mount each first and last support at 10 - 20 cm from the side of the lamp.
• The distance between the other supports must be equally divided over the total distance
between the first and the last support.
• Make sure the LED-lamps are mounted properly and are positioned optimized.
• Make sure there is no interference with other parts on the machine. I.e. the shaft of the
mechanical filling cutter.
A
2. Tighten the supports with the screw “C”. See Attention points [77] for more information about
the position of the supports.
If necessary, remove the O-ring “D” from the support before mounting the LED-lamp.
D
E
min 2-3 cm
Electrical cable The electrical connections for ILLOW are always located at the right-hand side of the machine.
In case of 2 LED-lamps, the cable “A” for the left-hand side LED-lamp “B” must be positioned on
the left-hand side, but must be guided to the right-hand side. Secure the cable by means of cable
ties “C” to the supports “D”:
A
In case of thermal cutters, both the cable of the LED-lamp and the thermal cutters can be fixed
to the supports “D”.
Mounting The procedure is similar to the mounting procedure of the upper LED-lamp, see Mounting [75].
