I am studying in the 10th grade at the Baku European Lyceum.

And I
have been a student of this school since the 1st grade. Last year, our
school was renovated and relocated. First, I would like to describe our
previous building: our previous building was small. the walls were dirty,
and the parquet was made of broken planks. The stairs were safe. If you
fell while running there, nothing would happen to you. The classrooms
were in good condition. As each class did its own decoration, the school
didn't have any standard-looking classrooms, each one was different in its
own way. Pictures were hung in the corridors. There was one big mirror in
each corner, next to the stairs. Around those mirrors, you could often see
people coming to look at themselves. It was possible to meet a mouse and
a lizard in the school. Since 2012, construction works were going on
around the school, so the parents were not satisfied with the school's
location. They were sure that this had a negative effect on the health of
children. But the government did not relocate the school.
The fact that our school is such an old building did not affect our
education. I would not like to brag, but this school is on the list of good
schools in Azerbaijan. I was not unhappy with our old building. We have
so many memories on every floor, every corridor, every classroom...
My class:
Our classroom was located right in front of the teachers' room.
Despite this, we were also the loudest class in the school. As a class, we
did not like cleanliness and order. We still don't love it. The teachers who
came to our class were disappointed by the lack of symmetry in the class.
We arranged the desks disorderly. There were papers on the ground.
Nevertheless, the teachers loved our class. The point is that everyone in
our class had individuality - absolute uniqueness. Temperaments and
personalities were so different that it was possible to find all kinds of
people in the class. Our class consisted of imaginary groups in grades 5-9.
Intraclass groups existed. But it did not prevent these children from being
friends with each other. The groups were open to each other. We were a
very good class and we were glad to have such a class.
But...
As I mentioned before, our school was removed. Far, far away from
here. It was difficult to find people anywhere. I should mention that most
of the children studying in our school live in the Yasamal district. And
when the school was transferred from Yasamal to Khatai, that’s we were
surprised. this is the end of the world. I will not lie, we started cursing the
government. "Is this a joke?!" we were asking questions. Although 2-3
million dollars were spent on the construction of our current school
building, we were very dissatisfied. And there was truth in this
dissatisfaction. A new bus line was constructed for our school. The bus
travels around the world from Khatai and returns to Yasamal. If I used to
be at home for 20 minutes, it has already been replaced by 1 hour and 10
minutes. We arrived home late. And it happened: 27 children studied in
our class. 7 of them left school. Those people were my friends and the
people who helped create the aura of our class. And they left.
Our new school, new classroom and new classmates
