This course provides an overview of the computing industry and computing profession, including
research and applications in different fields; an appreciation of computing in various fields like
COURSEDESCRIPTION medicine, environment, gaming, etc.; an understanding of ACM requirements; an appreciation of
history of computing; knowledge of computer hardware and software, computer network, computer
security and the internet.
