Free crochet pattern

«Tiger cubs»

Tools and materials:
1. Yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby (or YarnArt Dolce) for body orange (1-2
skeins), white (1 skein).
* For the white tiger cub – 2 – 2,5 skeins.
2. White - YarnArt Jeans’s for embroidery of stripes and for eyes decoration.
Black color-for eyebrows, mouth (smile) and stripes (a small piece of thread). Pink
color-for pads on the paws.
* For a white tiger cub, we embroider stripes in black and gray.
3. 3,5 – 3,75 mm hook for plush yarn
4. 1,5 mm hook for yarn YarnArt Jeans
5. Stuffing material
6. Needle and sewing thread (for hand sewing)
7. Safety eyes – 14 - 16 mm (1 pair of eyes)
8. A needle with a large ear (preferably plastic)
9. Joint for a toy – 45 mm. (It is advisable to use a joint with a long leg or
replace it with a cotter pin). The size of the joint is selected based on your toy.
It is NOT NECESSARY to use the joint. The head can be sewn on.

Colors and yarn selection are only recommended. The pattern is suitable for
almost any yarn, but then, you will need to choose the eyes based on the size of the
resulting toy.

The size of the toy when using the materials specified in the list is 33 cm.

Hands are filled with filler in the process of crocheting. Fill the lower part of
the hand tightly with the filler. The upper part of the hand is filled with a little bit
of filler.

Legs (2 details)
The marker is perpendicular to the back of the leg. If necessary, crochet
another 1-2 sc and move the marker.

Body
Very important to follow the marker! It should go from behind the back
perpendicular to the top. If necessary, crothet another 1-2 sc and move the marker.

IMPORTANT! Attach the tail at the end of one row and at the beginning of
the other row, so that it is exactly in the middle. The hands and legs should be
exactly on the sides of each other.

Insert a joint into the body. It is advisable to use a joint with a long leg or
replace it with a cotter pin. It is NOT NECESSARY to use the joint. You can sew
the head.

Insert the eyes between 13-14 rows (5-6 sc between the eyes from edge to
edge). Before that, embroider the arrows for eyes (eyeliner) and glue the eyelashes
on the eyes. After the eyes are fixed, embroider the white parts near the eyes.
The head is tightly and evenly stuffed in the process of crocheting.

Сut off the thread leaving a long tip. Tighten the remaining loops with a
needle and the rest of the thread. Hide or cut the remaining end of the thread.

Fasten the thread, cut it off. Continue crocheting, step back 26 loops (attach
the thread again). This is necessary so that the "steps" at the base of the nose are
on the same level.

Assembling a toy
Sew the muzzle between the 7-14 rows inclusive.

Sew “the cap” on 2-3 rows above the eyes. The tip of the nose should be in
the middle of the muzzle. Embroider eyebrows, stripes next to the nose and smile.
Sew the ears in 4-11 rows of the orange part of the head ("caps")

Embroider strips in 1-2 threads (any thin threads will do), alternate white
and black colors. For the white tiger, we alternate gray and black stripes.
