SERVICE CORRECTION FOR CUSTOMERS WITH RESIDENTIAL

SMALL CONTAINERS PRIOR TO JULY 1, 2022:
This letter is to inform you that the Clark County Solid Waste Chapter 9.04 has been updated
regarding residential small containers. This change specifically addresses service levels for 1, 2
and 3 cubic yard containers for single-family residences in the Urban Solid Waste Service area
for unincorporated Clark County. Please note, waste collection for home-based businesses is
addressed under a different service level with different pricing.

For residential customers in the Urban Solid Waste Service Area of unincorporated Clark
County who had a residential small container before July 1, 2022 and a wheeled cart for solid
waste, Republic Services (“Franchisee”) shall provide the option for the residential customer to
keep either:

(1) the wheeled cart for solid waste; or

(2) the residential small container.

Republic Services will not provide separate weekly solid waste collection service for both the
residential small container and the wheeled cart(s) for solid waste. Also, as of July 1, 2022,
residential small containers will no longer be serviced twice a week. Small containers will be
serviced with solid waste collection once per week. Republic Services will provide once per
week collection of recyclables in the wheeled cart regardless of whether the residential
customer chooses the residential small container or the wheeled cart for solid waste. If the
residential customer would like a second weekly collection day for solid waste service of the
residential small container, there will be an additional charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month
for the additional weekly pickup.

As a reminder, the residential small container may not be left in the right of way except within
twenty four (24) hours of the scheduled solid waste collection day. In addition, the residential
small container must be placed a minimum of three feet (3’) behind the edge of the paved right
of way except on collection day.

Additionally, please note that any residential customer whose residential small container has
consistent overflowing solid waste over a ninety (90) day period prior to being emptied on
collection day shall be subject to overflow charges in the amount set forth in Table 9.04.205A.
Such overflowing solid waste includes, but is not limited to, landscape clippings, agricultural
waste, manure or other solid waste.
