by using knowledge of sounds of letters
Learning standard Main: 3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC, CCVC, CVCV, CCV)

Complementary: 3.1.4 Segment phonemes (CVC, CCVC, CVCV, CCV)

Objectives Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to read and
answer at least 3 questions correctly.

Complementary: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to

reproduce the sounds of at least 4 words from the word search
correctly.

Activity 1. Pupils complete the word search in page 14 Year 2

Supplementary Worksheets Module.

2. Pupils are given the ‘My Best Friend Fluency Reading’ task.
Teacher can also write the passage on the board for pupils to copy
into their exercise books.

3. Pupils read the story (M). Pupils read the story with their
friends’ guidance(L).
4. Pupils are guided to read and answer the comprehension.

5. Pupils complete the comprehension questions.

Post-lesson: Pupils try to do the task that they like the most.
