PROJECT AKAP 2021-2022

With today’s pandemic, where there is limited face-to-face contact between

teachers and students, visitation plays a more vital role in the improvement of their
performance together with parental involvement in the learning process. This is
strengthened through Project AKAP (Anak, Kumusta Ang Pag-aaral?) institutionalized in
February 2021 by the Department of Education-Division of Rizal though DM No. 55 s.
2021 focusing home visitation to learners who experience difficulty in coping with
distance learning to keep them connected and/or reconnected to schooling.

In San Mateo National High School, teachers, advisers make conscientious

efforts to visit students in their home to connect to them better and to ensure that they
are provided with support to cope with distance learning through the LR Movers and LR
Pasabay Kiosks of the school.

The school ensures regular monitoring of the learners for home visits conducted
where health protocols are strictly observed:

Visitation is done strictly in well-ventilated areas and open spaces following at

least one-meter distance between the teachers and the parents and/or learners to
reduce the risk of infection during the conversations.

Facemasks and face shields are used when talking to parents and learners.

The visitation team brings their own food and avoid buying from community stalls
and eating in the houses visited.

Six students from grade 7, one from grade 8 and one from grade 8 have been
visited so far and were provided with their modules, checked on the status of their
enrollment, verified their learning modality, had their credentials submitted, and
checked on the reasons for their absence/tardiness in their online classes.
The following are some pictures taken during their visitation:
