Why I am a good fit for the role? As a Chief Financial Officer for the India legal entity, I have experience in leading /
managing various finance functions including strategy decision support, budgeting & reporting, business finance &
reporting, controllership, audit, tax, regulatory compliance and treasury. Led Bilateral APA & MAP program, complex
tax structuring & litigation, STPI/ SEZ unit approvals and other major initiatives for the company. In addition, I have
been involved in general management of the company in India including corporate services, legal, enterprise risk,
business continuity planning, crisis management team and management of board. Have rich experience of
collaborating with business heads/ investor groups & government departments/industry bodies on varied matters. I am
passionate about and have established credentials in (i) increasing the value delivered out of operations (finance) to the

leader currently building one of India's largest hyperscale data centers.
Role:
Strategic Advisory: Advising senior management and business teams on structuring transactions, new investments
or initiatives, benefits under different incentives schemes introduced by Government
Internal and External Stakeholder Management: Across hierarchy in finance, business, group companies, investor
groups, solicitors, banks & regulatory authorities (income tax, service tax, GST, STPI, SEZ, DoT etc.)
Business Transformation: Lead multiple transformation initiatives yielding positive EBITA contribution via
incremental revenue generation or cost saves
Maintained average employee cost while absorbing the pay-hikes (8% to 10%)
Enhancing insurance coverage benefits for employees while maintaining cost by negotiating pricing
Slashed employees benefit cost by 10% by negotiating pricing and fees, while ensuring the continuation and
enhancements of services (vendor contracts, transport, insurance, catering)
Risk and Controls: Set-up internal control systems, strong compliance framework and drive risk mitigation actions
to ensure no surprise environment
Review and Finalization of Financial Statements, Closure of Statutory and Tax Audit
Tax Planning and Compliance (Direct and Indirect taxes): Minimize tax exposure by efficient tax structuring,
designing and monitoring compliance processes, tax provisioning and related computations, seamless transition to
Goods and Service Tax (GST) environment

billion in Phase I) covering entity set-up, tax structuring, land acquisition, compliances & other aspects
Led entity structure set-up and advised on regulatory aspects of B2B Telecom Operations set-up in India
Centralization & standardization of labour cost processes across regions (Total labour cost: INR 30-35 billion,
FTE saves of 50% of team strength)
Conclusion of Bilateral APA & MAP program resolving Colt Group’s largest risk [INR 6-7 billion exposure]
Cash generation through GST & service tax refunds (> INR 1 billion), income tax refunds & incentives under SEIS
Led successful settlement of past tax litigations (including favourable ruling from the Supreme Court of India)
As part of Crisis Management Team to manage COVID 19 situation conducted BCP review, enabled remote working,
set-up vaccination drive for India center, enhanced insurance benefits, set-up employee helpdesk
