USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ALL OCCUPANTS
DANGER – FIRE Be aware of apartment exit points.
Unexpected, uncontrolled FIRE in the BUILDING.
Raise Fire Alarm
Do NOT gather possessions.
All occupants exit building following FIRE EXIT
signs.
Close doors behind you as you leave.
Exit the building and assemble on the large grass
area on seaward side of the building.
Do NOT re-enter the building.
Contact emergency services 999.
DANGER – SEAGULLS. DO NOT FEED.
Seagulls are very adept at taking food – swoop and grab or
may fly-over and poop to vacate food area for their own
consumption of your meal!
A&E visits have been required for some wounds inflicted on
people of all ages. They are large birds and have powerful
beaks!
Seagulls will raid rubbish bins if lids are not properly
closed. Plastic sacks are torn open and a mess made.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Inside the building.
Take care to use all equipment safely.
Do not overload power points.
Supervise cooking facilities when in use.
Apartment owners are responsible for the working
order of smoke alarms.
Check switches/taps are turned off as necessary.
Do not leave children and dogs alone unattended in
the apartment.
Do not obstruct communal corridors or entrance
space with any items – these are trip hazards.
Need clear entrance to/exit from apartments at all
times.
OUTSIDE COMMUNAL SPACES
Paths, steps driveway and parking areas to be kept
clear of items for safe access/exit at all times.
The large flat grass area is for all occupants to
quietly relax and enjoy the view.
No BBQ safe facilities anywhere in the grounds.
There is no child friendly unsupervised play area in
the grounds – danger of steep slopes and adjacent
car park area.
No ball games allowed – danger of damage to cars,
people and nearby windows.
Dogs may be exercised on a lead on the grass area.
Please be discreet about their toilet needs. Bag poop
and bin it.

No dogs on beach MAY- SEPTEMBER inclusive.
Torre Abbey grass often available for exercise and play.
Cockington – nearby picturesque village with extensive
public use green areas and woods.
WASTE/REFUSE/RECYCLING BINS
Be aware of seagulls!
Food waste is not collected. ALL general and food
waste must be securely bagged before placing in a
black bin.
Any recycling items to be put in the correct recycle
bin unbagged.
ALL cardboard to be crushed/folded before placing
in bin as space is very limited.
No food/drink contaminated cardboard is accepted.
This must be bagged and put in a general waste bin.
Please rinse out cans/bottles before recycling to
limit attracting flies.
No large unwanted/damaged items to be left by the
bins – they will not be collected. You must arrange
your own disposal of such items.
Cigarette stubs should be fully extinguished and
disposed of in bins. No stubs to be left in any
communal areas or flower tubs/pots.
COMMUNITY PEACE AND CONSIDERATION
Keep noise down especially after 11pm.
Park vehicle in your allocated space only and within
the white lines.
There are no visitor parking spaces.
Each apartment owner OWNS a parking space. These
spaces may only be used by others with the owner's
permission even when the owner's vehicle is not
present.
There is no outside drying area.
No towels/swimwear/other clothing should be hung
out and visible in any outside area of the building.
