 CONTINGENCY
PLAN
RECLOSING AND REOPENING

CLOSING

The declaration of closing a school shall be based on the assessment and decision of the local
IATF with the following considerations:
1. When there is a suspect, probable or confirmed COVID case in the school to facilitate
disinfection and contact tracing.
2. If the community where the school is established has case/s of community transmission and
quarantine risk as identified by IATF.
3. If there are violations/instances of not complying with minimum public health standards.
4. In the event that the school is advised for closure, all learners shall revert to modular learning.
5. During school closure, school management shall ensure contact tracing and disinfection
activities. School shall implement 24-hour lockdown period for disinfection following
identification of suspect, probable or confirmed COVID 19 cases only after which can it be
opened for use to teachers.
RECLOSING AND REOPENING

REOPENING

The following shall be considered for school opening:


1. Completed Contract Tracing activity.
2. Completed disinfection activities.
3. 14 days without confirmed case/s in school.
4. School is in barangay with low to no community transmission.
5. Area where the school is located is classified as MINIMAL – RISK.
6. Upon reopening, the school shall conduct re-orientation on current measures adapted to
evolving situations in the event of resurgences.

POSSIBLE DISINFECTION IN CASE WITH COVID POSITIVE

In case there is COVID positive case, the school management shall ensure air disinfection
activities. The MLGU – DRRM together with school DRRm team shall take lead in the
CHANGE IN QUARANTINE/RISK CLASSIFICATIONS/LOCKDOWNS
CONTINUITY OF LEARNING
The school earnestly carried out its Learning Continuity Plan for School Year 2021-2022
and implemented it with the support of capability building programs on the implementation of
the chosen learning modality and the use of ICT
Several innovations and initiatives were introduced. Collaboration, coordination and
communication mechanisms were intensified, and support system was strengthened.

COMPLAN, DATA BASE, IEC ON HYGIENE PRACTICES


1. The school or clinic teacher shall ensure that the school has an established and open
communication line to BHERT/RHU and the availability of necessary contact information.

2. The school head or the clinic teacher shall ensure and established an open communication line
with the DepED District Nurse for proper coordination and reporting to the SDO.

3. IEC on hygiene practices shall be posted in conspicuous places.

I. SIMPLIFIED CONTIGENCY PLAN AND COMMUNICATION FLOW WHEN COVID 19 SYMPTOMS OCCUR

Scenario 1 (Upon Entrance)

If the child shows symptoms like cough, fever, stomachache & runny nose, the parent must be advised to bring their
children home for observation and if symptoms persist, they need to see a physician.
Scenario 2 (During Class Hours)

If the symptoms occur during class hours, the teacher will notify the School Head, and will bring the child to the
isolation room. She will also contact the parents. The School Head will notify the School Safety Officer and the Clinic Teacher to
bring the chils to the isolation room. The School Head will also notify the BHERTS if necessary.
