The building that I am going to appraise is
Residential house is the sort of course that
I have taken. This house is located in B.V.
Nagar, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, pin code
524004. This house has a site area of 2050.9
square feet and a plinth area of 1330
square feet and it’s an g+2 building .
The client is a farmer who also happens to
be a businessman. He owns property on
which he farms. He had papaya farming
property, watermelon farming land, and
so on.
He was renting houses and struggled to
make ends meet. As a result, he desired to
have his own home for his family,
prompting him to construct one. He met
with a civil engineer to build their ideal
home for their family, so the engineer
gathered information from the client and
then went to the site to assess their needs.

deposits on the brick.
CURING TIME:
Curing means watering your brickwork,
concrete, plaster etc constantly and
keeping them wet for a specified time.
It is the most important job to do on site If
curing is not done properly, your concrete
and mortar will not attain desired strength
and will become very weak, no matter
how much cement you have put in.
Cement needs water for its hydration (to
be kept wet) In the absence of water it will
not hydrate properly, leading to less
hardening and therefore less strength.
 So as soon as your concrete or
mortar is set, you should start
curing.
 RCC slabs should be cured by
pooling and flooding with water to
keep it constantly wet.
 Brickwork and plaster surfaces are
vertical, so you have to keep
pouring water in intervals to keep
it wet all the time with the help of
a pipe.

 Location and number of columns
 Sizes of different columns and
their footings
 Sizes of all the beams
 Diameter and number of steel bars
in columns, beams and roof slab
 Thickness and desired strength of
the concrete etc.
