접속사 that

1. 접속사 that의 쓰임
「that + 주어 + 동사 ~ 」 형태로 쓰이고, ‘~(이)라는 것’이라는 뜻의 명사절을 이끌며,
문장에서 주어, 보어, 목적어 역할을 합니다.

1) 주어 역할을 하는 ‘that’절 ~라는 것은

That she is nice is true. ( = It is true that she is nice. )

2) 보어 역할을 하는 ‘that’절 ~라는 것(이다)

The problem is that we have no money.

3) 목적어 역할을 하는 ‘that’절 ~라는 것을, ~라고 /주로 think, guess, know, believe, say, hope 등의 동사 다음에 나옴

I think that it will rain.

He told me that he didn’t have lunch.

You promised that you would study hard.

** that이 이끄는 명사절이 목적어 역할을 할 때, 접속사 that은 생략할 수 있다.
