Sharks

The shark, who plays an important role in maintaining ecosystems, is a fish that lives
in the sea, particularly in warm waters. Like all fish, sharks breathe through their gills.
There are about 375 species of sharks. The smallest shark is called the dwarf
dogfish, less than 20 centimetres long. The huge whale shark can be more than 15
metres long. Sharks usually eat fish and shellfish, but great white sharks sometimes eat
seals, dolphins, whales, and other marine mammals.
Sharks are vertebrates, animals with a backbone. However, a shark's skeleton is
not made of bone. It is made of a bendable material called cartilage. A shark's teeth are
set into its gums. While eating, a shark often loses teeth. But, there are always rows of
new teeth growing behind the first set. As a shark loses teeth, new ones move forward to
replace them

Robots
The word robot comes from the Czech word Robota which means labour or work.
A robot is known as a machine that does the work of a human being.
Robots are usually used to do repetitive work which requires high precision. For
instance, robots are used to produce cars. Later, robots may also perform surgical
operations on humans. A computer could direct the procedure with excellent precision.
Meanwhile, human surgeons could control the progress by monitoring the operation on
a large video screen.
Soon, robots may also do household chores, such as sweeping and mopping.
Robots may also be designed to do dangerous jobs like cleaning the site of a nuclear
accident.
Cats

Cats are carnivorous mammals. They are the most popular pet and people often call them
kitty. Young cats are called kittens, while their parents are often called queens (female cats) and
toms (male cats).
There are shorthair and longhair cats. However, unspecified breeds are categorized as
domestic shorthair (DSH). Cats have extra lower back and thoracic vertebrae. Cats also have
distinct features. They have special free-floating clavicle bones that attach forelimbs to their
shoulder. These features allow cats to fit their bodies and heads into any space.
Cats use different kinds of sounds to communicate. They produce a wide range of sounds
including purring, meowing, growling, trilling, hissing, chirping, squeaking, clicking, and
grunting. The exchanged sounds are used by mother cats and her kittens to communicate. They
are also used between mating cats or to other species. Cats also use different sounds and
gestures to protect themselves and their offspring. A mother cat can fight even a larger dog to
protect her kittens. She usually hisses furiously and gives frightening warning by showing her
claws and making her hair stand on end.
SEA GAMES
SEA games are the sport competition between countries in south East Asia. The event is held
every other year.
SEA games are carried cut in line with founding of ASEAN. ASEAN has aims to promote
solidarity among the nation in south East Asia. There for, all ASEAN members automatically
participate in the event. They are represented by their best athletes. They complete to get the
most medals. The medals for the first winner is gold, silver for the second and the third winner
gets the bronze medal.
At first the game were participated by Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. Those three countries
were called Malayan Peninsula. Then, since 1997, the event was participated by all ASEAN
members.

A Reckless Donkey

A donkey and a rabbit were good friends. One evening, they were looking for some food. After
walking for some time, they finally found a watermelon field .After making sure that there was
nobody around, they went into the field.

The donkey directly ate a juicy watermelon. He finished it quickly. Then, he recklessly went to
another watermelon, and ate it. He ate a lot of watermelons until he felt full. “Oh, I feel like I
want to sing a song, ”said the donkey merrily. “No! You are going to wake the farmer ,”warned
the rabbit. But, the reckless donkey did not listen to the rabbit.

It started to sing a song loudly. Knowing that he could not stop the donkey, the rabbit left him
alone in the watermelon field. The donkey kept singing and singing until the farmer came up to
him, and ...,”Wham!” the farmer caught the donkey and tied him to the fence. The rabbit was
hiding behind a big tree, he saw what was happening. When the farmer left the field, the rabbit
released the donkey. The donkey realized his mistake and thanked the rabbit.

The Wolf and The Goat

A wolf saw a goat grazing at the edge of a high cliff. The wolf smacked his lips at the thought of
a fine goat dinner.

“My dear friend,” said the wolf in his sweetest voice, “aren’t you afraid you will fall down from
that cliff? Come down here and graze on this fine grass beside me on safe, level ground.”

“No, thank you,” said the goat.

“Well then,” said the wolf, “aren’t you cold up there in the wind? You would be warmer grazing
down here beside me in this sheltered area.”

“No, Thank you,” said the goat.

“But the grass tastes better down here!” said the exasperated wolf,”Why dine alone?”

“My dear wolf,” the goat finally said, “are you quite sure that it is My dinner you are worrying
about and not your own?”
A Man and a Flower Shop

One day a man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers. He wanted to send it to his
mother who lived far in another town through a delivery company. Meanwhile he was looking at
sad young girl who was sitting in front of the flower shop. He asked her what was wrong and she
replied, “I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother but my money is not enough”. The man
smiled and said, “Come on in with me I’ll buy you a rose.” He bought the little girl a rose and he
ordered for his own mother flowers too.

After buying a rose flower for the girl the man offered the girl a ride to her home. She said” yes
please! You can take me to my mother. She directed him to a cemetery. The girl placed the rose
on her mother’s fresh grave. Knowing the girl’s mother had died the man realized that he must
show his love to his mother while she was still alive. Then the man returned to the flower shop.
He cancelled the flower delivery order picked up the rose flower and drove to reach his mother’s
house.

A Milkmaid and Her Pail of Milk

A Milkmaid had been in the meadow to milk her cows. Now she was returning home with a pail
of milk on her hand.
She thought, "I will make cream and butter out of this milk. Then after selling them, I will buy
eggs. And when they hatch, I shall have a good poultry farm".
She further thought, "I shall sell some of my chickens and buy a fine dress. Seeing it on my body
at the party, all the boys will admire me. But I will turn them away".
She went on day dreaming; she forgot about the pail on her head. She moved her head suddenly
and the pail of milk came tumbling down. It was broken and all the milk split.
"Dear, O dear!" she cried, "I have lost mine all".
