EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

ZKE UPCYCLING ART & DESIGN is an art and industrial company that is dedicated to recycling
and upgrading products. The firm has three Shah Alam locations where 50sen corner (50sen Corner),
Pusat Wanita Berdaya (PWB), and ZKE home design art. The business seeks excellent products and
robust service and a customer friendly partnership. It seeks to excel personalized art pieces in the arts
industry and repurposes materials such as plastic bottles, linen, iron, wood, perfume bottles, which
are used to manufacture new commercial items such as Canvas Bags, Terrariums, plastic bottles
brooms, artisanal toys and wood and plastic toys. The organization remains highly competitive and
maintains high expectations to optimize customer loyalty.

The main goal of ZKE UPCYCLING ART & DESIGN is to capture the market in the art industry by
providing competitively priced goods and services, quality products, building a large and skilful team
and creating a user-friendly web-based marketing strategy.

The main product line of the business consists of functional art recycling and upcycling. This
company attracts clients and is distinguished from the competition by the keen eye of the director,
Encik Hafizi Omardin and the practical student. Furthermore, because of the high quality of the goods
themselves and the personalized parts produced by Encik Hafizi and practical students, it retains its
customers. This exclusive and customized one-of-a-kind concept is top of the line and the customer
receives a lifetime piece.
1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1Placement Department

For the completion of studies for Degree Business Management, students of Event
Management as a requirement for student to complete their Degree. Basically ,my practical
training period required is about 16 weeks from 1 October 2020 to 31 January2021 .I was offered
to undergo the practical training at ZKE Upcycling Design & Art under Marketing and Admin
Department. Thus, I took opportunity and gave full commitment to learn and gain as much
knowledge as I could.

1.2Training Objectives

The objectives of this practical training are to expose students to real working environment
and to experiences and understand real life situations in industrial organizations and their related
environments. Furthermore, accelerating the learning process of how student’s knowledge could
be used in a realistic way. Apart from that, for understand the formal and informal relationships
in an industrial organization so as to promote favorable human relations and teamwork. Students
are able to practical the theory and soft skills they have learned during the time in university, at
the company they are attached to during practical training to gain knowledge and experience, thus
helping students to be more prepared upon entering the working field once they have graduated.

1.3 Types of Assignment to Be Submitted

All of the trainees have been given two tasks to complete the industrial training. They must
submit the logbook for evaluation and the final report to the academic supervisor.

1) Log book
The log book is a book that all trainees must write on their day-to-day activities and also a
summary summarizing weekly activities. This book can help trainees make sure they do their job
in plan and the industrial supervisor must sign it.
2) The finalized report

The final report is an obligatory report to be produced by all trainees during industrial training.
There are two parts to be completed by the student for these final reports, Part A is the general
report during industrial education and Part B is a study report. General reports require trainees to
develop the background to the organization, organizational structure, general operations, any
training tasks given to the training trainees, and to ensure that the training objective is met. Study
report is the report that requires students to conduct some research into how the organization can
improve the system and procedure.

2.0 ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

2.1Company Profile

ZKE UPCYCLING ART & DESIGN goal is to excel in the arts business by businesses with
custom functional art pieces while repurposing materials such as plastic bottles, canvas, iron,
wood, perfume bottles that will be used as useful new commercial products such as Canvas Bags,
Terrariums, Brooms from plastic bottles, handicrafts, wood and plastic based toys. Its products will
be sought for their quality and uniqueness. We will treat each customer with respect and be
recognized for our integrity and superior customer services.

ZKE UPCYCLING ART & DESIGN will be located on Jalan Sawi Seksyen 24/1 Shah Alam.The
owner will lease suitable business space to support its equipment and upcycling materials and art
consumables.

The business intends to marketing online social media like Facebook ,mudah.my, YouTube of
operations to focus on how it can profitably use the internet to market its products. This will increase
sales and maximize profits for the business in both the long term and short term.

2.2Nature of Business / Services of Organization

1) PRODUCTS
ZKE UPCYCLING ART & DESIGN primarily deals in the sale of custom functional Canvas
products, marketing handicrafts and stationery, assisting in the operation of 50sen Corner Store,
assisting in the operation of recycling materials to paper mills, plastic mills and iron another. These
products are sold to both home owners and businesses.

2) SERVICES
ZKE UPCYCLING DESIGN ART customize our upcycling design services to meet your specific
needs. From the buying, collecting, separating, sorting of metal to shipping and redistribution of all
types of materials for design recycles. Our recycling service is tailored to meet the individual needs of
all our customers.
We provide different types of recycling design services for our customers in the industrial,
commercial, and construction industries, from paper recycling to scrap metal and electronics recycles.
ZKE UPCYCLING DESIGN prides itself in being the one stop shop for all your recycling design
needs.

Whether you want a regularly scheduled pick-up and buying online social media, we ensure on-time
arrangement and friendly, reliable service.

3.1 Task and Responsibility of Department

i. Sales activities and Marketing

Strategically, ZKE Upcycling Design & Art has been set to stay in line with operating costs.
For products such as canvas bags, terrariums, brooms from plastic bottles, handicrafts, wood and
plastic based toys, the company has developed comprehensive advertising and marketing. In
order to support its expansion efforts, its advertising and marketing include in order of probable
effectiveness, the following media outlets:

 Direct sales via outside sales to customers

 Internet Release/Web-Social Media

ZKE Upcycling Design & Art will have leverage over its competition because it offers a range of
products of superior quality, reliable service and a friendly atmosphere. Because of its customized
art, functional art and quality workmanship, it will attract customers. In obtaining new customers,
referral advertising and word-of-mouth will be key marketing components. The company is
confident that prospects will hear positive success stories from word of mouth and will seek us
out.

Mudah.my, You Tube and word-of-mouth marketing will flow through these social networks
with social media, primarily Facebook, and strengthen our position and recognition in a cost-
effective manner.

Administrative help is used for correspondence and clerical work for another person.
Administrative staff also assists organizations where they are working to perform a range of
administrative tasks. Administrative support helps keep an organization working smoothly, caring
for administrative and logistical activities that make the organization work. A secretary's roles are
often unseen by the public, but can be essential to help coordinate and monitor a corporation.
Typical roles include:-

O Arrange and represent Meeting Manager and Client

4.0 GENERAL OF OPERATION
4.1 Organization’s General Operation/Core Activities

1) Sales activities and Marketing


The business’s entry against competition will be eased by its choice of distribution channel. We will
employ direct selling such as outbound sales force, mail order campaign, internet and telephone sales,
agents who will sell directly on our behalf to end users, retailers also known as dealers or resellers
who will sell directly to end users. Our research has shown that this is the most cost-effective mode to
reach our target market. Our selected distribution channel is well designed and takes into account the
link between sales activities and marketing efforts to better reach and serve our end users. It addresses
consumer needs and preserves our role in an increasingly fluid channel structure.

5.0 ACTIVITY DURING TRAINING

5.1 List of Task and Responsibilities

-Perform administrative duties such as arranging for contractors or suppliers to collect item in Print
Expert.
-Greet visitors and direct call them to appropriate the activity in hall and arrange the meeting with
client.
-Organize and supervise other activities recycling, renovations and planning upcycling design
-Manage schedules and deadline booking hall PWB
-Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material sewing to budget
constraints.
-Visiting locally based recycling centers, companies, and school and community organizations
-Managing community recycling initiatives
5.2 Experience Knowledge or Skill Acquired

There are many experiences that I have gained during my 14 weeks as a practical trainee in ZKE
Upcycling Design & Art. All of those consist of:

1) Different attitudes of people in the real working life. For example, when calling customer to update
about activities in hall PWB of product recycle design. Some of them really gave their cooperation and
some of the staff office are really hard to reach.

2) Entertaining lecturer and students that came to visit PWB hall. Even though the task given was simple,
it was a great experience to be learned. My job was only to listen and meeting to the lecturers and
students to discuss research about activities upcycling design and handle how recreate recycle to
upcycling design. Before that I would have confirm to manager how many people that are coming.

2) What I learned and did here, most of it is within my job scope. So, it is easy for me to relate and blend
in to what they do here in this department. For example, I learned to deal with people or staff
behavior which is workplace communication. Different people here will have different attitudes. So,
in order for me to blend in I would have to accept and adapt their behavior.

6.0 COMMENT AND RECOMMENDATION

Students undergo a training cycle for an organization, which plays a significant role in preparing
students for their careers. Industrial training is essential to introduce students to the organizational
working environment. This helps students to understand the ideas learned in depth and practice in a
specific job situation. All students will be given exposure within the real jobs condition through
industrial training. It can also enable students to build trust and to discover their own skills. It can also
be a preparation in the future for a real working climate.
In the meantime, I have learnt several things during my internship marketing support from the very
first to the end online sales activities. I also have an ability to help the administration. Many things
I've learned from my company management process. In addition, not only did I learn about this field
in detail, but I also created design recycling material. For example, I have learned how to create a
canvas and bottle of items to upcycling design .So that allow me to understand the essence of the
tasks themselves.

7.0 CONCLUSION

During the six months of industrial training, I acquired a lot of information about sales promotion, admin
support and other working experiences. Industrial training is a very useful program where after
graduation, students can learn how to adapt the real working world. It supports students by exposing all
trainees to employers or organizations' policy, practice, and method. Studying and working similarity is
the process where students can acquire information but work requires students to have the courage to
complete the task given.

From my point of view, what a great experience is not only knowledge possession development, but how
we learn to build our personalities. For example, in the classroom we only communicate with our peers,
but here we interact with people who are different with us. Their love, style, the way they interact is
certainly dissimilar. Teamwork is the organization's most important factor in achieving an objective.
Thus, contact and sharing are the most needed factor in working environments. Therefore, we should
respect each other, functioning as a team instead of solitary. Since moving as a team is easier to reach.
