4. To recognize the home environment and its impact on
Students development
PROJECT Social integrity crusaders are an organization that will help
DESCRIPTION people in the community to promote social justice by taking on
different causes and campaigns. Our first project proposal is to
launch a campaign that uses peer education to encourage students
to be socially responsible on campus. Since we believe that unity
and peace is an essential part of a safe campus, we want to start
with talking about our personal experiences with some of the
problems that occur on campus such as sexual assault.
Our idea is to have trained peers who will work together with
administration to plan events such as sexual assault awareness
month, create a website where students can report incidents and
find resources such as counselors and rape crisis centers, organize
discussions and workshops in classrooms, libraries, or other
public places. This way we want to show students how important
it is for everyone to be aware of these issues and become
proactive. We also want to show them how they can make a
difference by starting from small steps like being more aware of
their environment or promoting respect towards others.
