The study included 381 participents from different universities of Multan, Pakistan regarding factors
associated with the COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among the respondent students.
1- A total no. of 381 participants , males(39.4%) , females(60.4%) & transgender(0.3%) completed the
study.
2- The majority of them about (80.6%) belong to age group of 16-25years, (16.3%) fall in age category of
26-35years, (1.8%) belong to age group of 35-45years , (0.8%) participants were of the age 45-55years &
(0.5%) fall in the age category of 55-65years.
3- (81.1%) of them were single & (18.6%) were married participants.
4- Among the participants BS undergraduates were (63.8%), Masters were (22.8%), M.Phil were (2.1%)
& PhD participants were (5.0%).
5- The %age of participants not infected with COVID-19 were (71.1%) & participants infected were
(28.6%).
6- (52.0%) participants had their family members infected from COVID-19 & (45.4%) had none of their
family members infected.
7- The respondants utilized certain sources for information , (38.3%) respondants utilized television,
radio, newspapers, (38.3%) sources such as twitter , instagram, telegram , facebook & whatsapp (7.9%)
utilized scientific websites & articles , (6.0%) respondants got knowledge about COVID-19 from
physicians , pharmacists & nurses & (8.7%) were informed by their family, relatives & friends.
8- The respondants took different vaccines ,(39.9%) respondannts took sinopharm (33.1%) sinovac,
(6.3%) Moderna, (15.5%) Pfizer, (1.3%) took Astra-Zeneca & (3.4%) took no vaccination.
9- (29.1%) participents took booster dose & was not taken by (70.3%).
10- Respondants satisfied to Government's ability to handle the COVID-19 pandamic to a large extent
were (24.1%), (40.9%) to a moderate extent, (23.1%) to a small extent & (11.8%) are not satisfied at all.
11- (70.9%) participants did not consulted to doctor before vaccination & (29.1%) consulted before
vaccination.
12- According to (77.2%) respondants COVID-19 ia a serious infection that requires vaccination & (22.8%)
respondants said no about this question.
13- (34.9%) participants responds yes that COVID-19 is a conspiracy & (65.1%) participants responds no.
14- (46..7%) of the participants are doubtful about the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccine & (53.3%)
participants have no doubt.
15- (44.9%) participants are doubtful about possible side effects of COVID-19 vaccine & (54.9%) have no
doubts.
16- (70.3%) participants said that lack of information about COVID-19 vaccine hesitate them to be
vaccinated while (29.7%) said that lack of information didn't hesitate them.
17- (50.1%) said that some social media reports doubted them about getting vaccinated while (49.9%)
participants respond that social media reports didn't doubted them to be vaccinated.
18- (55.4%) participants said that they have confidence of having a strong immune system that protects
them against having COVID-19 infection while (44.6%) participants respons that they do not have strong
immune system.
19- (50.1%) participants respond yes that they have fear of allergic reraction hesitates them of getting
vaccination while (49.9%) participants answers were "no"
20- (43.8%) participants said that they have fear of getting COVID-19 vaccine while (56.2%) participants
said that they have no fear of reinfection.
