MIDTERM PERFORMANCE TASK OUTPUT

1st Essay:

PLAGIARISM: LITERATURE'S MURDERER

Plagiarism is known as a blatant offense for copying ideas from others. As the violators disregard
giving credits to the copied work they used for their literature, they disrespect the original authors of that
particular piece. Plagiarism, albeit considered unethical, is still practiced by some people, especially
students writing their essays and other literary works. However, plagiarism can affect how we see pieces
of literature and ideas, merely just a product of pen writing on paper.

Plagiarism kills everyone's creativity and originality. It is truly conspicuous that copying
someone's work as your shows plagiarism. As they practice plagiarism in writing their pieces of literature,
they cage themselves around the works of others, confining their unique ideas to their head. Plagiarism
offers much more ease at composing literary works, but it kills the essence of writing: to express yourself.

If they continue to plagiarize other works, they will have degraded value on composing literary
works. They will not learn how to appreciate ideas presented in the original works because they could
only copy them and label them as their own. Plagiarism erodes the ethics of writing, as well as the
original works' author.

Overall, plagiarism destroys how we must view literary works. Just like other works of art such as
paintings, sculptures, and even musical compositions, literary works require creativity and the true
expression of their creator. These pieces of art need time and effort to build relationships with others and
convey what they want to say to others. Literature allows us to express our lives in different ways. In
opposition, plagiarism is the murderer of literature.

2nd Essay:

The Effect of Pandemic

We are living in a period of history that has never been seen before. 2020 is a difficult year.
Nobody could have predicted that a global pandemic would cripple economies and kill hundreds of
thousands of people. Because the virus spreads quickly from person to person, early detection is critical
for controlling the infection's spread. The pharmaceuticals industry, solar power sector, tourism, and
information and technology industry are all affected by the disease's cause.

I learned this pandemic that boundaries are absolutely crucial. Setting appropriate limits is an
important type of self-care that is not always simple, as I discovered. I'm still working on it, but I'm
attempting to set limits on how I spend my time and what obligations I can handle. People and activities
that fill my cup are at the top of my priority list.

We're always picking up new skills. The pandemic forced me to learn abilities that I had never
utilized before, such as adaptability. I learnt to make the most of the opportunities that came my way and
discovered new methods to interact and collaborate with others. As I examined my coping tactics and
went through what was and wasn't working for me, it offered me a better perspective on my career route.
It set me on a new path. I learnt more about myself and became closer to the person I want to be as a
result of it all. In the midst of so many new challenges, I learned to be a friend, a professional, and a
student, and I believe I am better for it.

It takes courage to ask for help. I had to learn that asking for help when I needed it was
acceptable, and I had to learn how to ask for it. Family, friends, coworkers, supervisors, instructors,
advisors, and career coaches can all be of assistance. In times of trouble, they are your go-to people.
The tiny things are worth celebrating. During the pandemic, everything seemed to be the same to me on a
daily basis, so I learnt to appreciate the small successes that I had previously overlooked. Sending an
email, informing someone of my whereabouts (emotionally or otherwise), contacting a buddy, and
brewing coffee all became joyful events for me.

Now that the epidemic has been a year, I've been thinking about the lessons I've learnt during this
difficult period. In the universe of COVID-19, it seemed as if each week brought a new set of trials,
adjustments, and forced adaptations. For one thing, I evolved in ways I never expected. On a whole new
level, I learned about myself, my professional life, and the young professional within me.

This pandemic taught me the importance of setting limits. Setting appropriate limits is a crucial

people and activities that fill my cup.
