Dear Oxford Families,

It is amazing that the end of the year has arrived. We want to thank you all for the continued support
you have given this year with all of the Covid challenges our community has faced. Here are a few
updates and information about the final week of school.

1. Classes continue Monday & Tuesday full days. Wednesday is an assessment and evaluation day
for staff only. Thursday is the final day for students to attend. Students come to school Thursday
for 1hr with dismissal at 10am (4 hours earlier then usual dismissal). If you are excusing your
child for any of these days, you can email oxford@hrce.ca or call safe arrival at 902-421-2509.
2. If your child has any items that belong to the school (Chrome books, library books, text books)
please send them back as soon as possible.
3. If your family is in need of Covid testing kits, please send your child to the office to collect some.
4. Report cards will be emailed out to families on Thursday June 30th. To access these, you will use
your childs birthday (YYYY-MM-DD). Please include the dashes. If you have a Hotmail account, it
may not arrive to you. Your child will be able to also access their report card in the post office (in
their gnspes account. They will also need to use their birthday to access it. If you do not receive
it in both locations, please email oxford@hrce.ca as soon as possible after 2 pm as the email
account will not be regularly checked over the summer.
5. Supply lists will be sent out in July and posted on our school website.

PTA and SAC

We are sending a special thank you to all of the parents and staff who helped our school have a
successful year on the SAC and PTA. New membership is welcome for Fall 2022.

Staffing

It’s that time of year again that we say a fond farewell to staff members. Mr. Fortier, Ms. Humber, Ms
Taylor, Ms. Rooney, Ms. Copeland, Ms. Cameron, Mr. Maclellan, Ms. Rutgazier, Mr. Crabbe, and Mr.
Wahlin-Stern are all moving on to new opportunities. We wish them the best of luck! We are also
welcoming Ms. Blais, Ms. Leon, Ms. Buchan, Ms. Abi Daoud, Mr. Cherrett, Mr. Henwood, and Mr.
Knechtel, to our school in September.
