BILL GATE’S EARLY LIFE AND HIS JOURNEY ON BECOMING SUCCESS

Indeed, this man is brought into the world in to a rich family. He was born on October 28, 1955, in
Seattle. He grew up with an astounding and steady family who encourage his interest in computer at
an early age. His father was a prosperous attorney and his mother was a school teacher. Gates was
a brilliant student. He performed well in academics particularly in math.

At 13, Gates developed a passion for computer and programing. He enrolled in the private lakeside
prep school. Seeing Gates talent in programing, the school decided to buy him a computer from the
general electric company. Bill Gates built his first ever computer program

Bill Gates worked with Paul Allen in school. Gates and Allen continued to build soft wares and Gates
sold the software for $20,000 at the age of 15. He developed software and sold for $30,000. And then
he started his journey on becoming a successful billionaire!

THE DEVELOPMENT OF MICROSOFT CORPORATION

In 1975, Bill Gates and Paul Allen co-founded a software company named Micro- soft. At the
beginning stage, the company was delivering small software products to various firm as they were
not able to enlist a sales manager. Thereafter the company started to face financial crisis. This was
due to the usage of some pirated software. But both of them didn’t lose their hope, with a great hope
they introduced MS-BASIC which helped them in making a profit of $50,000.

In 1979, an American multinational tech company- IBM offered Microsoft to develop a program. But
unfortunately, the company had no resources to develop the operating system so Microsoft
recommended another company to IBM for its Os. After few months an Os system named “86 DOS”
was bought by Microsoft after that they launched “MS-DOS”. Soon after the launch, Microsoft
offered IBM to use MS-DOS for their first ever personal computer. IBM accepted the proposal

A contract was signed between Microsoft and IBM in 1980 and Microsoft became Microsoft
Corporation within a year. The first ever personal computer was launched by IBM with MS-DOS
along with other Microsoft products like MS-BASIC, MS-PASCAL, MS-COBAL. This made the company
to pour accomplishments which lead to the development of windows operating system and creation
of mouse. Then Microsoft started developing many windows os like WINDOWS NT, WINDOWS 95,
WINDWS 98, WINDOWS 2000, and WINDOWS XP and VISTA.
PRESENT HAPPENINGS
Microsoft is continuing to rule the software market! Everything was because of the hard work of
Gates, Paul Allen and his family’s supporting nature. Bill Gates has been fruitful in staying aware of
the speed of progress which drove Microsoft to stay #1 programing organisation on the planet!

He has co-founded many foundations like William H. Gates foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates
foundation, Giving pledge, Gates centre for computer science and more
