MY REFLECTIONS

Education is seen as both a human right in and of itself as well as a crucial tool for obtaining other human
rights and fundamental freedoms. Economically and socially disadvantaged people can use it as a doorway to
escape poverty and have full access to the resources they need to fully participate in their communities. One of the
best long-term financial and social investments a nation can make is education, and this fact is starting to get more
and more acceptance. With the aid of proper education, indigenous children and adults can exercise and benefit
from their economic, social, and cultural rights. Additionally, it strengthens their capacity to exercise their civil rights
and gives them a stronger voice in political decisions that have an impact on their human rights. Since indigenous
cultures, languages, practices, and knowledge must be enjoyed, preserved, and passed on, education is essential.

The learners will have an option based on the assessment that was provided above. By emphasizing the
importance of people as the central component and guarantors of rights, this intercultural approach will foster
healthy communal interactions among people of different cultures and religions. While Set B will let the indigenous
students interview their datu/chieftain, local elders, and healers, Set A will let the students who respect mayors,
councilors, and medical officers to perform their assessment. This can assist us to comprehend the students'
preferences, communication skills, and weaknesses and how these can facilitate or obstruct cross-cultural
communication.

Intercultural awareness, or the knowledge that other cultures have distinct standards and norms, is a
crucial requirement for effective cross-cultural communication. The premise is that as a teacher, you might make
some bad choices if you don't comprehend how your students communicate. Intercultural communication is
essential in education because it guards against poor instruction.
