Manual – Applying for a tourist visa for PAKISTAN

If you follow this process, we CANNOT guarantee that you will receive a visa. However, if you know
which information you need in advance, the process of filling out the application will be quicker.

• You can apply online for a tourist visa for Pakistan here: https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/
• You can apply on behalf of other people (e.g. POCs).
• A tourist visa for Afghans does not cost anything.
• The processing time around 37 days.
• Every person needs an individual visa application. Even children have to apply for a visa
individually. It is possible to create one account for several visa applications. However, you
have to finish and pay for a visa application before you start a new visa application
(otherwise the applications overwrite each other).
• You need a computer. The visa application does not seem to work on phones or tablets.

What do you need to start the visa process for a tourist visa?

• Photograph (not older than 6 months)

• Passport (photos of passport taken by phones are okay)
• Booking confirmation of a hotel in Pakistan (book a hotel which can be cancelled on short
notice)
• Credit card
• Probably helpful but not obligatory: Approval for admission to Germany letter
(unpersonalized letter is worth a try)

Which information do you need to prepare in advance (if you are starting a visa application for
another person)?

• Names and nationality of parents (for adult applicants as well)

• Applicant’s travel history (last three years)
o Dates of travel
o Destination
o Purpose
• History of rejected visa
o Date of rejection
o Reference number
o Reason for rejection
o Country
• Applicant’s current address or address in Afghanistan you feel comfortable sharing in the
application process
Step 1: Create an account

If you apply for visa for a family or a group: You need to fill out the visa application for EVERY person
travelling.
Step 2: Start application process

• After confirming your new account, log in and click “Apply for your online visa”
Step 3: Application Info

• Suggestion for Visit purpose: Visit German embassy approval for admission to Germany
• Visa Duration: Hopefully the preparation for leaving Pakistan for Germany will not take this
long. To be on the safe side, choose the maximum visa duration.
• Location for interview: Probably not applicable, but choose a mission in Afghanistan where
you could attend an interview.
• Entry Port and departure port: Choose the most likely ports.
• Arrival and departure date: Choose the most likely dates. Keep in mind the processing time
for the PAK visa is around 37 days now.
Step 4: Personal Information

We suggest you only enter mandatory fields.

Other nationalities information: Not mandatory, do not select any nationality if not applicable.
Step 5: Family information

ATTENTION: If the applicant travels with family, you have to check the box and add each family
member with the following data. This is not the visa application for the other family members.

• Address: current address or address you feel comfortable sharing

Step 6: Finances and Employment

• Not mandatory, does not need to be filled out. If you choose one of the fields, you are
obligated to provide e.g. company name etc.
Step 7: Travel history

• It is not clear, whether the Pakistan authorities will check the information provided in this
form.
Step 8: Visit information

• Stay details: Provide the hotel information (booking confirmation).

Step 9: Documents

• Upload all supporting documents.

• Other if available: Admission to Germany

Step 10: Review and Pay

• Review application and make sure everything is correct and in case of families uniformly
filled out.
