Civil engineering is a branch of engineering that studies how to design, build, renovate not only buildings

and infrastructure but also includes the environment for the safety of human life.

While I was studying at the engineering campus, especially at the Malang National Institute of
Technology campus and majoring in Civil Engineering, there were several experiences or impressions
that I thought were less favorable or unfavorable, such as the following:

1. Class schedule changes

On campus, especially in the civil engineering department, there are several lecturers who often
change their class schedules or change the day suddenly.
2. Lectures during the covid-19 pandemic
In my opinion, during online lectures or online during the covid pandemic, it is very ineffective in
receiving the material given by the lecturer and does not practice directly in the field.
3. The number of new whatsapp groups for each course with different lecturers
This is certainly experienced by students today, where lecturers from the time of the covid
pandemic are very ineffective in receiving the materials given by lecturers and do not practice
directly in the field. Each course asks to create a special group for that course. This of course for
some students will be inconvenient, there will be many chatrooms that appear every day which
allows them to disturb them when the hours are empty. Even until someone turned off the
notification.
4. Gadget memory is full of voice notes and photos of lecture materials
During online lectures, it is not uncommon for lecturers to also ask for attendance in the form of
Voice Note (VN) in the whatsapp group. Well, for those of you who automate the media
download system on Whatsapp. Of course this will be very annoying and make your cellphone
full of memory and become sluggish. As a result, you will eventually get tired of deleting every
file that is no longer used and annoying.
5. Difficult to understand the material
Face-to-face lectures are not necessarily all students can easily understand the material
explained, especially when the online lecture period is just a question and answer session and
divide tasks. This will be very difficult for fellow students who need more time to understand the
material. The risk, when given the task will be confused.
