Performance
Task No. 1 The claims made by Teodoro A. Agoncillo in his book History of Filipino People
are conceived through a holistic approach of thinking. The holistic approach of
thinking is like looking at the bigger picture when analyzing or describing something.
It looks at the wholeness or wellness of situation. In Teodoro’s claim, he stated that
the word bahala na symbolyzes the fatalistic nature of the Filipinos. It becomes their
habit to use this phrase when facing tragedies and disasters with full of
determination. We can tell that he thinks holistically since understanding the nature
of Filipinos allows us to gain insight into their physical, emotional, social, and
spiritual well-being. Also, he treats Filipino as a whole by saying that Filipino is
naturally fatalistic. Not all Filipino are fatalistic there are some that are not. All in all,
We lead, we serve, we excel with a heart.

he recognizes the wellness and wholeness of Filipinos before proceeding to his
claim. As a result, his claim was created using a holistic thinking method.

ating etika at idelohiya.
Pilipino.
