MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY

1) Limits cholesterol intake ( maximum 200 mg / Day )

2) Avoid any Saturated fats in Diet


( Coconut Oil , Butter , Whole Cream Dairy Products )

3) Breads & Bakings made with eggs

4) Interfere with Increasing Unsaturated Fats intake


( One Tsp Olive Oil in the early morning )
( May be we can scatter Some nuts or Olives on a salad plate )
( Avocado can be eaten Once per day as a Snack )

5) Increase water soluble fibers intake


( Said to bind with cholesterol contained foods )
Congestive Heart Failure
. Heart fails to provide adequate delivery of nutrients to body needs
ALSO , no removal for waste products
RESULTING in
1) retaining fluids in body tissues 2) Shortness of Breathe
3) Loss of weight & fatigue
PATIENT MAY BE TREATED WITH ( DIURETICS ) IN ORDER TO LOSE
RETAINED WATER IN BODY TISSUES , THEREFORE POTASSIUM
CONCENTRATION MUST BE MONITORED WELL

. The LOWER number ( measured when heart is resting )

Change gradually by adding a vegetable or fruit at lunch or dinner

Use only half the butter or margarine you’re using

If you got problems with digesting dairy products , try lactase Enzyme
pills or Free Lactose dairy products
Focus on adding whole grain foods & cereals ( Oats , Wheat )
( as the can bind cholesterol food in digestions )
Try to decrease salt intake / Day to ( 2400 mg Sodium )
( One Tsp salt per day as a maximum )
Avoid those saturated & trans Fats ( Processed foods )
( as they predispose to atherosclerosis )
Try to add exercise for like 30 minutes of walking , jogging , cycling

Use more spices instead of Salt


( Cinnamon , Chili , ginger , Nutmeg , Parsley , Rosemary )
