1. Where would the text be published in the target language ?

The text will be published in newspapers, textbooks, magazines, ... in the

target language.

2. The target language equivalent of the source language : periodical,

newspaper, textbook, journal ?

- A source language is the language in which the content to be

translated/interpreted was initially produced ;
o for instance it may be a document text or a speech in French (source),

- A target language is the language in which the content intended for

translation/interpretation will be reproduced into ;
o going with the same example above the text or speech initially in
French (source) will be translated into English (target).
- The target language is one of the most important element of the translation
process.
