Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro

I have watched Mozart’s the Marriage of Figaro almost ten times trying to note some of

the ideas on the use of music to convey drama. I may not know much about its historical context

but I find the bright timbre in the piece interesting. It has such as energetic tone that begins

slowly with a gradual transition to a tempo that is faster. The violin is the easily noticed in the

whole composition as it is pronounced in the most parts in the piece. These gives the music a

dramatic sense even as the violinist plays the strings in a way that revives happiness. Personally,

the rhythm variations in the violin makes the piece even more interesting as it shows constant

harmony with the melodic outline exhibiting creativity. This is clearer in the 1st variation which

starts with a bass diminution before soprano kicks in to make the composition even more

interesting.
